New to instinctual variants/subtypes

I'm so lost. I'm new to this & I've been consumed by this for 3 days now. When I take an instinctual variant test without my enneagram 4 involved,I've gotten these results: SX & SP tied,SX/SP (twice),SP/SX,and SX/SO. However, when I take the tests in terms of my enneagram 4,I get SP/SO,SO/SP,or SO/SX. Sometimes I'll get close to feeling like I've found my answer, but then I'll read different information and it's lost on me again, because the information isn't at all similar, and doesn't remain consistent. I also heavily lean SX,until it comes to being a 4. Any help at all to understand this mess would be much appreciated.

Posted for my girlfriend who doesn’t have Reddit but could really use some help to figure this out.
