I’m 19, I just started a electrical job as a apprentice and make 14$ an hour as of now. Planning on trying to get into the electrical union as it pays more(about 20.70$) an hour starting out. I have right around 5000$ in a high yield savings account and add money weekly. Realistically when could/should I move out.

Starting my first job as a electrical apprentice. I’m 19, and applied to the IBEW first day after graduating high school. Been on the waiting list since December of last year so I started applying to local non union shops and start a job on the 13th next month. I am going to start at 14$ an hour, i was making the same pay at my last job but I know I’ll be gaining knowledge to earn more later on. What did yall start out making with no experience?
