Hello, my partner will start first round of CAPOX (3-month) for his Stage 3bN1M0 colon cancer. He was just diagnosed in January and it’s been nonstop since, with tumor removal & colon resection surgery. He bounced back from surgery amazingly, aside from a horrible allergic reaction to the surgical glue. Today he gets his port, Thursday he starts his infusions.
I read with CAPOX, especially for type 2 diabetics the neuropathy can get intense. I also read all about icing and have some ideas and found some products we can get to mitigate.
He works in IT & his main outlet is gaming. I’m really worried about the neuropathy and how it will affect his hands (in addition to any hand/foot issues).
Have any other gamers been through this? Did it affect your ability to play? (Keyboard - mouse player FYI) Tips? I just don’t want him to lose the one thing he can do to keep his mind off all “this”. Thanks for listening
