New player here! Today I was at Cex looking for a new game to play when I found MHW and it was cheap so I thought "hmmm, why not?".

I played Dauntless before so this type of game its not new for me. Also I'm looking to buy it with a friend so we can grind together. So here is my question.

Is this game still worth playing? Like player base is still active? Does this game still recieve any updates? How bad will a begineer player struggle? I saw some gameplays on youtube and Im really looking foward to play this game but I would like the opinion of the players.
