Hello all! I moved about three months ago, living in an unfinished basement currently. I have the absolute worst experience with house centipedes since moving. Its like they are everywhere. We put up sticky traps, we use bug spray, we try to get other bug traps to “eliminate” their food sources, yet they persist. And theyre massive, about one-two inches in length.
I counted today, 10 of them all on one beam on the ceiling. There is no reason for there to be 10.
I know they kill other bugs, but I honestly don’t care. They’re constantly crawling all over my stuff, then dying in said stuff. My PC case, found a dead one on my GPU the one day. Found a dead one ontop of my Godzilla decor. Found them in my bed when I went to lay down. One even fell right ontop of me when I was playing my game. Causing me to then freak the heck out, throw myself backwards out of my chair, kick my desk, and make my monitor fall off my desk and break. I have no problem with bugs, until they touch me.
I want every single one of them gone. I rather have spiders. Atleast spiders stick to their web, their corner, and not touch me. The centipedes love to touch all my shit, and even me. They don’t just stick to one generalization location. The centipedes are so big, they eat any spider that could possibly eliminate them.
Im almost half tempted to buy a large tarantula and just let it roam free and eat them all. I like spiders, I can live with that.
What can I possibly do to just get rid of them? I have lost my marbles enough to even consider just bug-bombing my house once a month. Overkill but guarantees their demise.
I am going insane, someone please help me.
