Which Garmin should I buy? Upgrading from Apple Watch SE
I’ve been using an Apple Watch SE (1st gen) for several years and I’m now looking to upgrade to a proper sports watch. Garmin has caught my interest, but there are so many models that I honestly feel overwhelmed.
My main activities are:
- Gym training around 4 times a week
- Running 1–2 times a week
- Open water swimming during the summer
- Possibly starting bouldering/climbing later on
I’d like something reliable for training and recovery tracking, with good battery life compared to Apple Watch. GPS accuracy and durability matter too, but I probably don’t need the absolute top-end model.
I also realized that I barely use most smartwatch features on my Apple Watch. I still want basic smart features like notifications and alarms, but sports and battery life are much more important to me than apps or other “smart” functions.
My budget is fairly tight, so I’m looking for the best value option rather than the most premium watch. Any recommendations?
