I am in the guard and was an AGR for years and I recently hit 20 years active. I just ended a tour and started a new set of orders, at a new location in an MPA status. I received a 214 from my previous assignment that just ended. I have sleep apnea and would like to file a claim as soon as possible because of all the rumors about changes.

Does the change in assignments and the fact I earned a new 214 make me eligible to file a claim for sleep apnea even though I am still on active orders?

My plan would be do a BDD claim for everything else when I hit the retirement button.

Any risks with doing this?
