Has anyone taken this program and now teaching in Ontario ?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 32-year-old working full-time, and I have a one-year-old with another baby due in August. I’ve been thinking a lot about my long-term future and really want to align my work schedule with my kids once they’re in school.

I already have an advanced diploma in HR and a Bachelor of General Studies (Athabasca University). I’m now looking into teacher’s college in Ontario, with a potential start date of September 2028.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate any insight:

Has anyone here completed their undergrad through Athabasca University?

If so, were you accepted into Ontario Bachelor of Education programs afterward, and which ones?

Did you need to upgrade your GPA or take additional courses before applying?

I’d also really appreciate any general advice or experiences from people who have taken a similar path into teaching in Ontario.
