I'm coming up on 5 years using a Mars Hyrdro FC3000 and have been very happy with it. This morning I noticed two of the bars have multplie strips of dead or dim LEDs. I don't think the output is severely diminished but I am going to consider getting a replacement. It looks like the current model has the LM301H LEDs which I believe were an upgrade to the 301Bs in my light. But it also looks like they replaced the driver and I'm not familiar with what the new one is.

So, is the current gen FC3000 as good or better than one from five years ago or should I look at other brands and models?
