Does anyone have any experience on whether the management in ANU accommodation is as strict as UniLodge's?

I heard about strict staff and I'm just finding out this myself now. They keep giving me trouble because of this clause in the residency agreement "to seek the prior written consent of the University before making any alterations, additions", and they likely don't give any consent.

I can't live without aircon given the level of heat I experienced inside my room, but I'm thinking about making the sacrifice so I don't get hounded and always be in fear of it. This time the manager literally just peeked inside my room and I got a warning letter.

p.s. Not giving too much detail because I worry the staff might be lurking here.

I'm required to do 4 units per semester, constantly short on time, and out of nowhere comes a lab report with a deadline of 1 week. How do you guys do it? And how do you do it while still have jacked quality?

I didn't do my undergrad in ANU and the lab reports I got was mostly sink or swim (wasting time and getting minimal feedback). I'm always puzzled by random dudes just pulling out a lab report with a dozen pages and unbelievable quality.
