Silence after assurance
Hi all, long time lurker and need some advice from you all.
I had a round 1 interview with a director of a reputable company a month ago, he said he could really see me in his team and would relay this to the HR rep, asked me to keep asking for an update if there’s a delay. So after 1 week of silence, that’s what I did, no reply. I continued again after a weeks gap, nothing. Another email to the HR rep 10 days later, nothing. As I was getting quite anxious at this point and really wanted to understand the situation I decided to message the director directly (I did add his socials right after interview) and again silence.
Have I missed the boat or have been left hanging? Or was it a mistake to message director directly and should’ve waited for the HR rep to come through? Not sure if I overstepped by messaging directly or whether this is just how these things go.
Any experience with similar situations appreciated
