Looking for what works
I’ve been smoking everyday for more than twenty years. I have taken maybe a day or two off, but only because of travel or some other reason that made it physically impossible.
I have tried to quit so many times. My husband is also a smoker and we bonded over weed, which makes it more difficult. Fortunately, he wants to quit as well.
Look, in an ideal world I would allow myself a j on 2 a weekend, but I don’t have that self-control. I’ve tried setting timers and tracking my usage to try to decrease and phase out, but although I will improve, I eventually revert back.
One time we didn’t keep weed in the house as we were only purchasing prerolls and my husband lost it on his employer and lost his job. So there is some fear of consequences from withdrawal.
Did those of you who managed to quit do so cold turkey or not? If not, what worked for you?
We are traveling abroad for 8 days next month so I’m hopeful that will allow for a reset.
Thanks for reading.
