Looking for college students to tutor high schoolers online

Hey everyone,

I'm a high school junior building an online tutoring platform that connects college students with high school kids for AP classes, SAT/ACT prep, coding, chess, and advanced math. All sessions are virtual.

Looking for sophomore/junior college students who would want to tutor on the side. Here's how it works:

- You set your own hourly rate

- You keep 80% of every session fee

- I handle all the client matching and scheduling

- Fully flexible, tutor as much or as little as you want

If you're interested, comment below or DM me with:

  1. What subjects you'd want to tutor

  2. What hourly rate you're looking for

  3. Your general availability

No commitment yet, just gauging interest!

Best SUV to lease under $300/month TRUE sign-and-drive?

I’m trying to figure out the best SUV lease deal I can realistically get right now and wanted some opinions from people who actually follow leasing/deals.

Important details:

  • Located in Illinois (Chicago suburbs)
  • Excellent credit
  • Looking for TRUE sign-and-drive only (no cap reduction/down payment)
  • Taxes and fees rolled in ideally
  • Max budget: about $300/month, maybe a little over if it’s really worth it
  • Prefer AWD because of winters
  • 10k or 12k miles/year
  • Mostly a commuter/daily driver
  • I already have an MDX for family trips/3rd row stuff, so this doesn’t need to be huge(basically anything over 180 inches, the size doesn't matter)
  • Reliability during lease matters
  • I care more about VALUE than badge prestige

Cars I’ve looked at so far:

2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid EX AWD

  • Probably the most “logical” option
  • Great MPG
  • Modern interior
  • Seems reliable
  • But real sign-and-drive pricing seems closer to high $300s/low $400s

2025 Nissan Murano AWD

  • Huge discounts off MSRP
  • Comfortable and quiet
  • Seems like a good value lease
  • Concerned about Nissan reputation/resale

2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

  • Really liked the size/interior
  • Feels more premium than expected
  • But payments seem high once converting to real sign-and-drive

2026 Jeep Cherokee Hybrid

  • MPG looks amazing
  • AWD standard
  • But it’s a first model year hybrid Jeep so reliability worries me a bit

2025 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

  • Obviously not rational lol
  • Just looks cool
  • Probably not the best commuter

Cadillac LYRIQ

  • Loved the interior/luxury feel
  • But insurance + EV stuff + potentially higher payment

I’m open to:

  • hybrids
  • EVs
  • demos/service loaners
  • leftover 2025s
  • heavily discounted/depreciating vehicles

I’m NOT really looking for:

  • tiny crossovers
  • luxury brands that will be impossible under budget
  • anything with horrible reliability even for a lease

Main priorities:

  1. Best value
  2. Comfortable commuter
  3. AWD
  4. Strong lease deals
  5. Decent reliability for 2–3 years

What SUVs would you guys target right now for the best chance at:

true sign-and-drive under $300/month?

Also curious:

  • Which brands/models are secretly leasing REALLY well right now?
  • Any broker-only type deals I should know about?
  • Is this budget unrealistic for AWD midsize-ish SUVs now?

▲ 2 r/Acura

Looking for advice on a cheap second SUV / mileage beater.

Found a 2010 Acura MDX SH-AWD Tech for $3,600 with 200k miles. Seller says:

"Selling my 2010 Acura MDX AWD it has 200k. Runs/drives very good, recently replaced spark plugs. Timing belt water pump have been done! No service warning lights on dash! All electrical components work, Cold A/C HOT Heat. Has back up camera, Bluetooth, Aux, 3 rd row seating. Clean exterior/ interior, no rust! interested message me thank you!"

Photos actually look pretty clean inside and out.

I already have a newer daily driver(2023 MDX lol), so this would mainly be for putting extra miles on, like commuting, or going to school.

My question: Is 200k miles too high on a 2010 MDX, or worth considering at this price if maintained? How long would it last, would I have to periodically keep fixing small things

What common problems should I watch for on these at 200k? Transmission? SH-AWD? Suspension? Oil consumption?

Would you buy this, or spend more on something else? If so, what?

Thanks.
