Stop Fearmongering
Now that I got my score back I feel confident enough to say this. I scored 524 (132/131/129/132) which was around my FLs and better than my average (521/521/519/518/521/526) and the real exam felt very similar to a FL (maybe even better). Walked out w a huge smile on my face but was scared to say it went well because people on here say if you feel good you did bad.
There was barely any low yield. I only knew of 1 question in each science section I got wrong, and I predicted correctly with C/P and P/S but must have missed some logic or made stupid mistakes on B/B because I felt like I knew most topics on there. Yes there were some clear low yield but not enough to throw me off, and I saw most of those topics in practice questions anyway. Walked out feeling like it was very fair.
And NO I’m not saying that is everyone’s experience at all. Maybe I got very lucky. I perform better under pressure and I did a ton of practice questions so I covered a lot. All I’m saying is that some of you get on this app and talk about your personal experience as if it’s a fact, when each day’s MCAT is different. Complaining, venting, and looking for similar experiences is fine, but there’s so much fearmongering and I wanted to reassure people to just study their hardest and trust in their FL scores. ✌️
