i believe my scoliosis is possibly functional yet i have rotation

i, 14F have been diagnosed with a 26 and 28 degree curve in november of 2025. what leads me to think it is functional is when i stand tall, my spine is straight and my waist becomes even. when i sit down, it looks even. i even have a picture my mom took of me bent over and my spine looks straight. then, a picture of me bent over while sitting, looks straight. yet i do have a rib hump. the rib hump is nowhere near severe and mild but ive seen that functional scoliosis has no rib hump at all. is it possible for functional scoliosis to have some rotation?

i should probably add i did carry a (very) heavy backpack on one side for the past 2 years, maybe longer, and i lay weird in bed. which, in one of my favorite laying positions my body IS a bit twisted.

really wish they wrote mandy’s character better

dont get me wrong, i love watching ys and g&m but mandys character is actually so unlikable

  1. yeah, georgie was dumb for lying, except she actually like slept with him a second time WHILE she was pregnant after she found out he was 17..

  2. she just has like a bad attitude. like i get she wanted to distance herself from georgie. he’s a minor. except.. she just was plain rude. i can get the first few like weeks she was upset bc he lied but the way she went about it, like ’you ruined my life’ when it takes two

the sense of entitlement is irritating too. she expects everybody to bend over backwards for her because she got knocked up. like when she wanted to work. nothing wrong with having a career, but she had a literal NEWBORN and not too many options for childcare. she shouldn’t get mad at georgie’s family for having lives and not being able to watch her baby because she wants to work. which.. keep in mind.. SHE STILL HAS PARENTS. she is too grown to burden others just because she doesnt like her mom.

after the tornado, they stayed in sheldon’s room. which was fine. they were homeless. but when sheldon got back, mandy outright refused to leave his room as if it was her house? it isn’t sheldon’s fault she decided to ruin her own life and stay (free of charge) in someone else’s home 🫩

she also couldve just stayed with her parents from jump, but only decided to leave because of a bathroom issue. it’s giving user in a major way. yes, she wasnt ‘cool’ with her mom but she’s like 30. why would you put a 13 year old out his own room when you have the option of living with your parents? it’s bad enough you’re unemployed WITH a child. to have that option is a blessing in itself.

not to mention the HYPOCRISY. she worked, like literally showed up to a job everyday with her ex boyfriend, and got mad at georgie for being uncomfy with it. but got mad because georgie was getting featured (ONCE) on the show she got fired on.

her actor though is amazing i just wish her character was written a bit better. or maybe she was written to be infuriating on purpose because they’re destined to divorce

ive made a few posts on here before but i’ve been looking into spinal tethering. i am 14f, almost or fully skeletally mature but my curve is 26 and 28 degrees. it looks worse from the back and i did some research and see this operation is more for severe curves and people who aren’t done growing, but is it possible for someone my age or with my degree to get it? if so, what are the downsides?
