Hi everyone — I was referred to a rheumatologist after waking up a few weeks ago with a terrible pain and redness in my eye, which was later diagnosed at the ophthalmologist as scleritis.
My other symptoms have been joint pain & inflammation, fatigue, GI issues on and off my whole life, and slow healing wounds that have landed me in the hospital. I also get sick constantly.
I tested negative for Crohn’s and Celiac via a colonoscopy. I don’t eat gluten.
Is there anyone out there who has similar symptoms? Anything I should know before the first appointment? I’ve heard it can take years to get diagnosed and I’m nervous about getting written off.
I’m late 30s, female.
