Hi everyone,

I’d really appreciate any guidance or insights you might have on my situation.

Here are my details:

  • February 2026 NY Bar exam: UBE 263
  • MPRE 100
  • 6~7 years of legal practice as a licensed lawyer in Korea
  • J.D. Law degree (non–common law country)
  • Completed an LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school in Washington, DC
  • Currently working in Asia
  • I do not have U.S. citizenship or a work visa at the moment

Given this background, I’m trying to understand whether there are any U.S. states where I might be eligible for bar admission by transferring my UBE score.

If anyone has experience with similar circumstances or knows which jurisdictions might be more flexible for internationally trained lawyers, I would be very grateful for your advice.

Thank you in advance!
