Hi everyone,
I’d really appreciate any guidance or insights you might have on my situation.
Here are my details:
- February 2026 NY Bar exam: UBE 263
- MPRE 100
- 6~7 years of legal practice as a licensed lawyer in Korea
- J.D. Law degree (non–common law country)
- Completed an LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school in Washington, DC
- Currently working in Asia
- I do not have U.S. citizenship or a work visa at the moment
Given this background, I’m trying to understand whether there are any U.S. states where I might be eligible for bar admission by transferring my UBE score.
If anyone has experience with similar circumstances or knows which jurisdictions might be more flexible for internationally trained lawyers, I would be very grateful for your advice.
Thank you in advance!
