Couple lil hints for whats to come on the truck.

I decided to start workin on the truck now, not that there is much more to do... So decided to have a little fun to see what you guys think I purchased mainly using money I got from scrap metal I found laying around I wasn't gonna use. Waiting on some of the parts to still come in still, beambook marketplace and bbay sure does wonders.

I am currently rebuilding the engine to see what the hell went wrong, as well as adding some performance mods I salvaged off another Diesel D-series that was in the scrapyard. This engine is making it to 1mill miles, I don't care what it takes (is it true that when you reach 1mill miles on a truck, Gavril tries to give you a new one or something? I read something about that once).

Also, does anyone happen to have some mirrors for a D-series I could maybe buy? Single or a pair, I don't really care. One person I tried to message, just ghosted me and I'm unsure why....

lil rescue mission

After sleeping in the truck overnight, I decided I was done and got u/RichProgrammer9820 to deliver the Stambecco with a chain in it to help rescue the truck out of the middle of nowhere.

After a bit of struggling with the system, he was able to get it back here, where I got the chain hooked up and showed him how the Stambeccos system worked then had him ride in the truck to do some steering to avoid damaging it even more. Apparently, not the easiest thing to do according to him...

I'll probably end up working on it sometime over the week. For now, we are gonna go for a lil ride in the Grand Marshal as thats what he wanted to do before he left. Maybe he'll do some recording for you guys.

D25 engine trouble, not starting or cranking. Please help!

So quick question internet people, my 1988 D25 just stopped running (No bang, or overheating, just literally shut off) and now it won't start back up. I've tried beamgle results, to no avail and I've been here for hours now...

Would anyone have experience with these older diesel things? Or would know if the engine is even salvageable? I believe it has around 950k miles on it (the odometer don't work anymore so idk) if that could be a causing factor, however I've always tried to keep great maintenance on it.

I've spent a couple hours here before I decided to post to see if anyone would know anything about it.. Its dark and cold out and I'm currently taking shelter in the truck. I might just give up on it for the night and try again tomorrow.

A Letter to BCPD.

Greetings Belasco Police department,

A couple of days ago I was issued multiple citations by one of your officers (R. Samson) for the following:

- Vehicle equipment for a missing driver side mirror
- Vehicle equipment for the suspension set up on the truck (apparently multiple things)
- Vehicle equipment for loud exhaust
- Vehicle equipment for running "Non-CARB" turbo system (whatever that means)
- Violation of "Clean air act"

Running a total of $2,022.

A picture of the violated truck in question.

While a couple of these things are accurate (as you can see), some of these charges I do not believe are true and would like to give you guys the opportunity to correct or elaborate on before I have to go into like 3k of debt to either fight in court or attempt to "fix" somehow on top of the 2k fines.

First charge I would like looked at would be the Turbo system "CARB" thing. As you could tell, this truck isn't in the best condition (it's a work truck after all). but it has had a modified diesel engine for 2 years with no prior issues.

Enginebay shot.

Now incase you don't know much about engines I'll point out what is obvious to me The turbo on this truck COMES FROM GAVRIL themselves. I highly doubt they are in violation of whatever your CARB thing is. To clarify, the turbo comes from a 1996 D45 Ambulance.

That brings me to my next issue; Violation of clear air act charge

As I previously stated in a older post, this is a 1988 model truck and while I explained this to your officer, he didn't acknowledge what I was saying and got additionally aggressive to me.

Now according to the CA DMV website a vehicle does not need a smog inspection and is therefore exempt (to my understanding) IF:

"(a) Diesel-powered vehicle is a 1997 and older year model OR with a Gross Vehicle Weight of more than 14,000 pounds."

Being a vehicle built in 1988, it very clearly before 1997.

Honestly, I feel as though I am being targeted by this officer as when I was previously homeless, he would constantly target me then. I do remember his face and name. He also knows my line of work and also knows the suspension and tire setup is mandatory. Although I will admit, it may not exactly be legal.

I'm also fine with most of the charges as they are fix-it-tickets. If these 2 charges previously mentioned get dropped though, it drops my fines from $2,022 to $350. Otherwise I'm as broke as a joke and can't realistically afford to pay off fines, go to court, or fix the major "issues" with my truck. Partially because there is nothing to fix and partially because I won't fix them because your officer decided to target someone he knew would not be able to pay off his fines or "fight back" in any way, shape, or form.

Thanks for your time in this matter.

A date in Belasco.

Today I went and had a meeting with u/Captain_Nuggitz to grab some food and talk about our pasts. It honestly wasn't bad. I really did appreciate it.

I think I should feel more nostalgia or something with my families homes but in all honesty, I have more memories living under the bridge then I do living with my mother and stepfather. The only people I consider to be my family are my bridge community and my 2 younger siblings. Not my mom, not my stepfather, and certainly not whoever else they added to that damn home.

On top of all of that, I'm really... peeved right now because I owe about $2,000 in fines to the BCPD for a multitude of violations when they stopped me because of course they did. These guys themselves could be a whole post just ranting about them. Geez.

As I kinda said in the title, I went out earlier this morning to look at a Bluebuck.

Now when I was told about it originally, I was told the entire rear was smushed in so I thought it was only gonna be useful as a parts car. Having looked at it more, I somewhat see what the person I was talking to was talking about but also at the same time- no??

The Bluebuck or "Green Glory" (as I've decided to name it) is a 1963 Sport-line Bluebuck that was at one point modified slightly for oval racing. I don't think it was anything big, probably just some teens doing some dirt racing when beamcar was just starting out, eventually getting wrecked out during one of those races, then being forgotten about. Scrapyard owner said it was sitting there for a while (at least 15 years) so he gave it to me for cheap as he wanted it gone and not crushed. I'm honestly shocked it started up after a quick fluid flush at a gas station.

Oh yea! before I forget, if some of you are interested in some of those cars at the scrap yard, let me know. The owner only sells to a few people for some reason. Mostly people within the community. So I could get some of those things out of there, if you promise to pay me back?

Hello internet people! My name is Bentley Collie and I'm 23 turning 24 shortly. I recently was convinced to start posting by one of the people I've saved during a recovery,

I was a little skeptical when he first suggested it and for about a week or two just watched your guys' posts to see if I would be interested in posting myself. Well, I was convinced, so here I am lol!

Here are some interesting facts about me:

- Until about a year ago, I was homeless living in Belasco in the Stambecco till I saved enough to buy the camper I currently live in.

- I love all kinds of music. If I were to try and pick a favorite though, it would probably be from a older racing arcade game called "Sebring USA" or something along that line...

- My dad went missing around the time I was born (hence why his plate was last done in 2002). While I don't remember him at all, my mom did and it drove her crazy. I was raised by my mother for my childhood till I was kicked from at 16 after a huge argument. I haven't really talked to her sense.

- Obviously, I'm decently into cars. I love all kinds of builds (especially off-roader and lowrider builds) but my overall dream car is a Civetta Bolide, preferably a targa with the popups. I wouldn't really care what color it would be in as if I ever got one, I could always just repaint or wrap it.

I'm going to try and post some of the cool things that I discover on my "trail patrols" I do when calls don't come in, and some of the cool things I get to work with and repair.

Some nights it gets lonely out here by myself, no one really comes by to check on me or goes down this trail... So, I hope to get the opportunity to meet some people though this, Although, I hope I don't meet you guys though my work lol.

Hello. I'd just like to announce; I'm officially out of this for now.

Multiple things have piled up on me and honestly, I can't take all of it without taking some major time off. On top of some of the well, "attention" I've dragged to myself here, I think it's in my best interest to stop. Don't worry, I'm fine... or I think I will be at least.

It's already been discussed and planned with the people who need to know. All you really need to know is that Mr. u/Captain_Nuggitz is taking a co-owner role at the track and as such, is permitted to host events for the track and FJ Restoration & Transport is still open and operating as normal, however, I will not be actively advertising anything for the company. All vehicles that are currently for sale or will be sold though the company will be available through auctions in North Carolina.

.

9/29/24.

1/24/25.

7/1/25.

4/30/26.

You know, funny enough, I think I was happier then. It's strange how the human mind works... You could have all you ever dream for but still feel like you are missing a large part of yourself.

I wish to never forget what has shaped me into who I am now.

I hope to see you guys someday.
