5 day old no poop 24h + cluster feeding
My 5 day old has been cluster feeding and my milk is slowly coming in. I can hand express some drops, pump maybe .25 of an ounce each side. She’s obviously hungry and switching between being fussy and making sucking faces with her hands near her mouth or sleeping past the 2.5-3hr mark and being kind of lazy on the boob. She suckles for a little while and then takes long breaks so I have to tickle her cheek and feet. She was hitting her poo marks until today and hasn’t had a bm in over 24 hours but has had 5 pee diapers. Her last poo was greenish brown.
My pediatrician wasn’t concerned earlier today with this info but I’m getting more worried as time passes. She did point out some jaundicing at her 2nd day appointment but I don’t think it has gotten worse, maybe better? It’s hard for me to tell.
Should I be more concerned? Should I supplement with formula? I’m trying everything I read on this subreddit to keep her awake on the boob, she has a good latch and I see some milk dribbles on her chin occasionally. I’m pumping after feeds to increase supply, and trying to keep up with sleep, hydration and eating.
