I'm facing a bit of a dilemma with how I'm gonna go about rating The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill lol. Usually hidden tracks are abnormal and somewhat separate from the "main album" so I leave them out. However, I fear that excluding those last two tracks will negatively impact my score
For years, hearing this on the radio, I've thought of this song as a somewhat okay country pop song. But, a while back I decided to check it out in my free time. And, damn, what a glow up. Damn great instrumentation and songwriting, and solid vocals from the lady. The prompt applies to this song especially if you're listening with headphones
I was just thinking about how I, on first listen, thought Robot Voices was one of the weakest songs on Breach. Then, a while after, the chorus got stuck in my head and I decided to listen again, thinking it would grow on me. I got dissapointed.
This has happened to me at least three times. It never really ended up growing on me
