This is my first time painting as I figured I might aswell learn the skills and quickly learned that the painting part is pretty easy but the clear coat is what kicks the ass. Predictably I’m getting a decent but not awful orange peel and have one more bumper I need to paint for my buddy. Any tips on how to get a better finish from the sprayer. Keep in mind I’m using a $50 Amazon gun so I know it’ll only get so far. I plan on letting this cure for a couple days then hitting with 1.5k,2k,3k wet sand (PS. I’m only worried abt how the clear coat sprayed on, not the screw up in bodywork in the second pic)

Building up a rolling chassis to be my racecar and figured I might aswell throw my spare stereo system in but these are the wires. Anybody have any clue on what goes to what
