In the midst of discussions on company cars, allow me to make a hypothesis.
The figures are approx, so yes, they are thus also wrong.
An employer gets about 6900 gross or 3800 nett per mo.
Employer pays: 120.000 py. Patronale bijdrage: 24.000 py. Taxes: 45.000 py. Nett: 51.000 py.
Thats 69.000 taxes. (Yes the government gets more money than you, for your work)
Now employer wants to give this man a raise.
To give a nice car: 60.000 cost , use 5y, sell for 20k, cost 5y was 40.000. Maintenance 5y: 5000. Fuel 5y: lets say 15000. Plus insurance lets say a company car would cost 60.000 per 5y or 12.000 per year. Thats the cost for the company.
That is also the cost for the employer providing the same for himself. Now for the employer to give this man 12.000 nett per year raise. They would need to spent 12.000 + 16.000 taxes = 28.000. This means the employer gains 16.000 by giving a company car. PLUS this is now a deductible cost in stead of a salary.
Now who are the winners here? Not the worker.
Now, this guy goes, nah i go freelance! Management vennootschap!! Same base cost for employer as above: 120.000 per y. But invoiced to the vennootschap: Gross salary per y: 50.000 py. Patronale bijdrage: 12.500 py. Minus taxes= Gross nett per y: 35.000 for a total of 62.500 py.
But also 57500 winst vennootschap. 20% vennootschaps belasting + belasting op dividend. Is 39.000 nett per year.
35.000 nett + 39.000 nett = 74.000 nett income. Same cost for employer, 24.000 increase compared to employe.
The problem is the high taxing of employment.
