Education Welfare Officer

Hi. I am the proud father of an awesome little 12 year old who is autistic.

He struggles in primary school with the sensory inputs and overall lack of accommodations given (I won't go into that as it would be a massive rant of a post).

We had agreed on him attending for reduced days with the school but now at the end of the year we have found out that the school recorded the absences incorrectly and now an Education Welfare Officer (EWO) wants to meet with us.

My wife, also autistic, is really worried and stressed that he will be now forced to attend 5 days a week and we will be fined or possibly jailed.

Has anyone here ever had any dealings with an EWO and if so, what was that like?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

I need to get our attic insulated. I'm unfortunately physically unable to do it at the moment so was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for companies they may have used that they would recommend?

I have just moved into a house. None of the appliances in the kitchen work (fridge freezer and dishwasher, both are around 20 years old). They are integrated into the cabinets, as was the all the rage back in the early 2000's.

We are not big fans of the integrated appliances look and want to replace them with freestanding ones.

A neighbour told me that installers won't install new ones or take the old appliances away unless they are completely removed from the cabinetry prior to arrival. He even mentioned that they may only replace "like for like", as in they will only replace with integrated appliances.

Does anyone have any experience on this before I order the appliances?
