Are board books or hardcovers with paper pages better for baby's eyes?

Are matte pages better for baby's eyes than glossy?

Also, board books tend to be smaller than hardcovers, do babies prefer larger pages or smaller? Is it easier for babies to take in the smaller pages / are larger images easier to see overall?

There are many books I want to purchase, but many of them come in multiple options, so I just want to pick what's best.

Not as concerned about durability. More concerned about what's better for eyes and maybe even development.

My OB said I don’t need to take Choline. What’s that about?

I brought in the supplements I’ve been taking to my first appointment with the OB.

Prenatal, Vitamin D, Omega 3, and Choline.
(I've been low in Vitamin D for years, so I take additional Vitamin D)

She was good with the assortment, told me there are no issues with taking the Choline, but I can take it out if I want to. I was a bit shocked to hear that.

What’s up with that take? Why would they think supplementing Choline is just not necessary?

OB told me I should take baby aspirin. What’s your opinion/position/experience?

Doctor told me I should take it because I have two factors that make me more likely to have preeclampsia.

One being this being my first time pregnancy and second being my BMI considers me obese by 1 point over the threshold.

So basically if I was just a few pounds lighter the only thing making me at higher risk for preeclampsia is the fact that it’s my first time being pregnant.

I also got on the scale with shoes, sweatshirt, sweatpants, and a semi full bladder.

My gut tells me I don’t need it, but this is my first pregnancy and I really just don’t know what to trust.

My blood pressure is just fine.

So please tell me about your opinion/position/experience.

What’s your opinion on my situation given the information I provided?

Are you happy with thr materials used in the Snuzpod?

If not, which aspect of the Snuzpod are you not happy with in terms of synthetic materials, VOC, etc.

Have you had any scary incidents with the Snuzpod?

I was highly considering Newton due to the ease of cleaning, but I’m not happy with the mattress material and people have left reviews about issues with baby rolling over into the side and general wobbling of the bassinet.

I woke up this morning with what seemed to be very watery fluid mixed with a bit of blood in my underwear. Not an alarming amount.

A few hours later I had spotting with bright red blood. Wiped a few times over the course of maybe 20 minutes. And each time there was less and less blood and the blood leaned more brown each time.

I called my doctor’s office and spoke to the nurse. The nurse told me it’s not a big deal at all and that I don’t need to come in. And even if it happens again I don’t need to be alarmed.

Fast forward to 5 hours later and I had the spotting again, this time slightly more than during the morning. Again wiped a few times and each time it was less left on the paper.

So at this point I’m guessing it could be SCH.

I may try to go to the doctors tomorrow if the spotting persists at least for some peace of mind and so I don’t have to work off of assumptions.

Week 10 currently.

If anyone can share their “positive” experience/ourcomes with this please do share.
