Hi everyone I think this is my first real post here. I have a owned a Roadster Brabus now for quite a while and I noticed something that I would like other people to check to.
As some of you might know the R brabus has a water to air charge cooler to cool boosted intake air. This water is cooled by the low hanging radiator under the left side seat.
The water is circulated by a Bosch coolant pump that on my car had failed. I have the car now for 5 years and I would have never known until last week where I took my car on a nice day into the mountains and the car had no power and was not reaching even 1 bar of boost.
I now wonder how many other brabuses drive around with a failed pump as the ecu dus cut power to the pump but now check engine light will appear.
The Roadster drives so much better now. A lot more elow down grunt and the boost flies into the 1,5 bar on full throttle.
Have a check in the coolant tank with the ignition on and you should see violent water swirling if you only see vibration from the engine then well you have a failing pump.
Have a nice weekend.
