Bad Astigmatism Maybe Due to Ortho-K?
I'm pretty young (16) and have been wearing Ortho-K since I was 8. My astigmatism is so bad that I'm terrified to drive at night. I can barely the lines on the road especially on busy streets with lots of cars or areas with bad lighting and can't see the lines at all when I get too close to a car in front. My vision is perfectly fine during the day. I never paid attention to my night vision much before because I only started driving at night a few months ago. Another thing to note is that I've had my current contacts for over a year and am getting new ones soon. Could it be related to my contacts wearing down? Is there a way to fix this or will I have to struggle with this forever?
I'm very concerned about this since I will be driving myself to and from school every day next year and during the winter, especially, I will be driving to school in the dark and sometimes driving back in the dark. I do have very bad eyesight genetics as both of my parents and 3/4 grandparents have extremely bad nearsightedness.
