First picture is the current state of my living room fireplace. When we moved in…we went hard on millennial gray. I just put a primer on the mantle (it was pink 😂). Second pic is an AI generated rendering of what I aspire my kitchen to look like. Just ordered the cabinets (haven’t totally settled on the backsplash though).

So with the kitchen, I’m leaning into the warm tone of the flooring. I really hate the tile…but it’s 500 sq ft and just out of my budget to pull up and change.

Now..wtf do I do with this fireplace and builtins. All the trim in the house is getting painted white. Paint the book case? Wall paper the back? What color for the mantle (I hate this white primer already…so I don’t think I’d want a white mantle). I had the bricks white washed with a gray tone to match the gray walls 🙃. Walls, book cases, trim, and brick can all getting updated but I can’t land on what way to go.

Mini update

I’m pretty proud of myself…single mom, never done DIY until now, but really wanted to update this bathroom. I did the floors, drywall, new toilet, assembled the cabinet and updated the plumbing. Tried to keep it budget friendly and kept the original tile.

I know the LVT are polarizing for using in a bathroom, but tile wasn’t in my budget.

I just need a mirror and baseboards (weekend project)

An unlikely duo

Someone shared a cute video of their bulldog and bunny. Here are my two. Lola Belle (dog) and Coco (bunny).

Besties CoCo and Lola

Take two…it didn’t let me post pics the first request.

Would like this picture of my bunny and pup to be edited so my dog is looking more at the camera. 2nd and 3rd pics for reference.

Thanks so much!

Besties - Lola and Coco

I love this pic of my bunny and pup. But can you make the dog’s face looking more at the camera though? Second pic is the best I’ve got of her looking at me.
Thanks

Soapstone vs solid white..backsplash choices…

These are all AI renderings of my kitchen. It’s small ish with a drop ceiling (plumbing in there so out of budget to change the ceiling). I love the idea of soapstone countertops, but unsure if I should go dark. I love the green mosaic with some metallic, and I also love a capiz / mother of pearl mosaic tile. What do you all think? What all would you pick?

Help finding a door..

I have a door opening that is 47x81, with just over 3” space on top. I’m struggling to find an appropriate door set up. The previous owners had two different size slab French style doors and had some extra studs in place to make the opening more like 45”. I’ve taken down one stud already (on the right) the other one is still there - it’s all a work in progress. I have this temp pantry cabinet in place at the moment. It’ll come out and I’m going to have built in shelves. But I’m really struggling to find a not hella expensive custom door option. I don’t like barn doors and don’t think it would work anyway with the 3” space at the top. No room for that hardware. Any ideas? Ideally I want French doors. Not bypass or bifold.

How’d I do? I’m pretty proud of this. The last little sliver by the tub and the hole for the toilet took some time, but I’m pretty happy! I’ve never done DIY before. Also first time replacing a toilet and so far no leaks!!
