Recently I heard about Ortho-K and am planning to visit a doctor for my son, who is 16 years old and currently has -3.5 vision in both eyes.

I heard that Ortho-K can permanently reverse eyesight so that glasses may not be needed anymore. Is that true? If so, how long does it usually take to improve/correct the vision? Also, are there any side effects or risks with this treatment?

Also, does anyone know of any experienced/good doctors for Ortho-K in or around Frisco, Texas? Please share recommendations (DM is also fine). Thank you!
