Finally starting to post videos after years of fear — should I focus on one platform or both TikTok & Instagram?

After many years of indecision, insecurity, and fear, I finally decided to start posting videos. Mostly content related to my profession, because I think it could open more job opportunities for me, but also because I’ve always genuinely enjoyed making videos.

My question is: do you think it’s better to start focusing on just one social media platform, or should I upload my content simultaneously to both TikTok and Instagram?

I saw a creator recommending that beginners should start with only one platform — whichever feels best to them — but I’m not sure what to think about that advice.

What would you personally recommend?

750–900 USD) | Colombia | Designer torn between MacBook and gaming laptop

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: 3,000,000–3,500,000 COP Colombia

Are you open to refurbs/used? Preferably new, but I’m open to used/refurbished if it’s a really good deal.

How would you prioritize form factor, build quality, performance, and battery life? Performance and longevity are my top priorities. Build quality also matters. Battery life is nice, but not my main concern since I mostly work near a charger.

How important is weight and thinness to you? Not very important. I actually tend to prefer bigger laptops.

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15” or bigger if possible.

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I’m a designer. Right now I mainly use Adobe Illustrator and some basic Adobe Photoshop, but I want to keep learning more demanding software from Adobe like After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc. I also do social media design, branding, digital content, and sometimes light gaming.

If you’re gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Mostly casual games like Among Us, The Sims, Roblox, indie games, and sometimes older games for nostalgia. I don’t need ultra settings, just smooth gameplay.

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices? A good keyboard would be nice. I also like colorful/RGB keyboards, good cooling, and upgradeability if possible.

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. This is where I’m conflicted:

My dad is a software developer and strongly recommends a MacBook because he says macOS is better long-term and more stable.

But I’ve used Windows my whole life, and besides design work, I also enjoy experimenting with software, installing older programs, emulators, random tools, and nostalgic games.

So I’m worried that if I switch to a MacBook, I might feel limited compared to Windows.

I’m trying to decide between a MacBook or a gaming laptop.

Especially if you’re a designer or have used both systems—what would you honestly recommend in my situation?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to find an old game called Delicious 2 Deluxe (or at least I think that was the name). I used to play it many years ago when I was a kid, and from what I remember it was very similar to Diner Dash—a time management/restaurant game.

I’ve been feeling really nostalgic and wanted to play it again, but I’m having trouble finding a version that actually works. I’ve found a few downloads online, but either they don’t open or the game just won’t run on my computer.

Does anyone remember this game, know where I can find a safe working version, or maybe know if it had a different name in some regions? I’d really appreciate any help!
