Didn't know any of this about the Dasylirion plant until recently, figured I'd share!
Went down a sotol rabbit hole and kept running into things that surprised me.
Like the fact that it's not agave at all. Or that the piña takes 15–20 years to mature before anyone can even harvest it. Or that the female plant grows this wild 12-foot quiote just to flower.
Found this infographic and thought it summed it up pretty well for anyone else still learning.
What else should I know?
