Have some questions for people who have been through the process of moving to a ski-resort town as an Australian! Appreciate you reading :)

I am looking to go in exactly one year time, should I be looking to secure a job as early as now?

Also, with the application process of the VISA. Does the work permit only start once I move into Canada and collect it, or should I apply for it now so I can then look for jobs (then collect it later)? I am unsure if I apply now with the intention of moving later is unwise, as I would want to secure a job & housing before moving there.

When applying for jobs in ski-resorts, would you email the ski-resort directly and see if positions are availiable through there or the their careers website? What did you use to look for jobs personally?
