Jess thoughts

Jess thoughts

As much as I don't like Jess because of what I see of him in the show, he did some really kind things for Rory before they were dating/established. I'm just really curious as to if I would like his character more if we saw more of him, while he was dating Rory.

We hardly see Jess and Rory while they're dating, and most of the scenes we do see are them being physical. There really was not many conversations we saw between the two during their relationship. I feel like Jess could've really redeemed himself for me if we saw more of 1. their conversations and 2. a deep talk between Jess and Rory in the early seasons.

Does anyone else feel this way about him?

New Job Idea

I have a concept for a new job, and i want to know your thoughts.

So we know there is plenty of roleplaying that happens, but also I feel like our jobs are getting repetitive, fast food, driving, etc.

A corporate/office job. Okay you have to hear me out because the name does NOT sound fun. BUT it could go multiple ways.

My original thought was you type a paragraph that is shown to you, but 1. most people do not enjoy typing as much as i do, and 2. mobile players probably would not enjoy that as its too tedious to click off and on and have the keyboard pop up.

So i thought some more. There is a game on Roblox where you just approve peoples loans and such, you just type their name in the system and unless their credit score is below 500 you approve it, they show you their id/passport for their name. I figured this is an easy thing to do and its different than all our other jobs.

The last idea i came up with, is sorting papers. Now i know that doesnt sound fun to everyone (it sounds pretty fun to me but). You would just have a stack of papers, and each of them will have maybe a color, shape, or letter on it. You would seperate them into groups based on what is on them. I figured that is the easiest and most likeable one as its also easy enough for little kids to try and do, its also kind of educational in a way for younger kids, like learning colors or shapes?

To add on, I feel like it is unrealistic for most people to work at fast food, taxi driving, or grocery store. Many people look to the game for realism and roleplaying, though it kind of has been taken over by builders, there is still a large chunk that love role playing or even just want a new job that is different. As for roleplaying most peoples parents work in corporate or offices so i think it brings a new world to bloxburg.

Let me know your guys' thoughts!!

i just dont like jess

i just dont get the jess hype. ive never liked him and i have this show on everyday. why do you guys love jess so much?

since people have something to say about me not providing any information (though i dont know why its necessary? im asking why you guys like him not talking about why i dont but here you go)

im not into that whole bad boy, gets into fights, steals, and doesnt talk to his girlfriend guy. i also dont think he's hot which seems to appeal some of you. the moment he arrives to stars hallow he has an attitude with lorelai and i guess i can give him some grace because he was forced to go there but he was consistently harrassing dean, which just pissed me off. he never talked to rory while they were dating, and how he acted at the dinner with emily. but the biggest thing? him trying to have sex with rory when she was clearly pushing him off and not wanting to. i actually dont care what kind of excuses you wanna make for him in that scene, its just an unforgettable moment for me.

he's fine in the later seasons and AYITL, and i can stand to watch him then, but other than that i find him so irritating most of the time

I love Rory gilmore

#1 rory gilmore defender right here. I think rory gets far too much hate considering the other characters in the show, and im gonna get absolutely attacked for this but for example Lorelai. Dont get me wrong I literally love Lorelai but she does just as much things to get hate as rory if not more.

Let’s start with what people bring up the most about rory hate. Her sleeping with dean while he’s engaged to Lindsay. Completely valid point to feel anger towards someone but let’s just look at what gave her the impression that was okay. 1. Dean convinced rory the marriage was over, that they weren’t working out, and that he was going to choose rory. 2. Throughout Rory’s whole life (in the show) Lorelai had gone and slept with Chris even while being in a relationship herself (even if it was during a big fight it was still a relationship) Lorelai slept with Christopher while he was engaged to sherry, which is a parallel between rory and Lorelai. Rory grew up watching her mom do these type of things, and it gave rory the impression it was okay because she looked up to her mom. Im not excusing what Rory did just justifying it. Rory definitely shouldn’t have done that and I don’t condone cheating.

Another one people bring up is that they think she was dramatic for dropping out of Yale just because of what Mitchum said. I dont think she should’ve dropped off ofc but rory grew up in a small town that put her on a pedestal of being academically gifted beyond anyone else, her grandparents boasted about her articles, all her previous teacher spoke about her exceptional work. College was a reality check for her already, and then you add going to your boyfriend’s house and his family telling you that you’ll never be good enough for his family. She looked to Mitchum for approval because she needed it to feel good enough for Logan and his family. He let her think she was doing amazing at the paper just to sit her down one day and degrade her to an assistant. Rory her whole life had dreamt of being a journalist and her dreams were literally crushed in that moment. When an adult tells you that you aren’t good enough for what you dreamt of your whole life, it’s going to feel like everything just crumbled around you and like everything you’ve done was for nothing. What Rory needed was support after that and Lorelai did not give her that. Instead of Lorelai reassuring her that she is an amazing journalist, she started talking poorly about the huntzbergers. Yes Richard and Emily shouldn’t have gave into rory staying their like that instead of going through with lorelais plans, but Lorelai should have never cut rory off just because she wanted to leave Yale. That’s a moment where your kid needs support and reassurance, she didn’t give rory that.

Rory is an amazing character, and while everyone else thinks Rory’s character got worst as the seasons went on, I disagree. In the earlier seasons I do love rory, she was very sweet and easy going, but her closeness with Lorelai really set her back compared to the other kids. While I love Lorelai and Rory’s relationship, sometimes rory really just needed a mom rather than a best friend and it made rory make poor decisions because her mom wouldn’t tell her right and wrong very often. When college started, rory got surrounded by all new kinds of people who grew up differently. Rory became more independent and just grew up a little. Everyone hates rory in season 7/6 but honestly I really love rory then, she’s more real, and on her own path rather than doing what Lorelai would want.

P.S how can you guys watch a show when you hate the main character (goes for both rory and Lorelai)

Im guessing they are no longer going to hawaii like they planned? They were supposed to go like this week I think maybe even last, but erica said they aren’t even filming for a couple weeks so i guess that’s gone.

But I don’t know if they’ll go on their month long trip they do every year, they typically do it in June but the trials in June this year. This whole case honestly just “ruined” their lives it seems
