SIT232 Missed 2 discussion deadlines.
Hi, so i have been doing SIT232 (Object oriented development) this trimester and, I was going for credit grade, and i missed 4 due dates of pass tasks, first two (no discussion only video demonstration) were purely because my ontrack was not opening at all and i thought i have 2 days left to complete ill come to check if my ontrack is opening tomorrow.
It didnt open next day as well and the due date passed, and then i thought okay i might as well record my ontrack not opening the day next to the due date and i sent it to my unit chair and she said “as it is recorded after the due date we wont consider it”. I genuinely didnt know that they wouldnt consider it because i didnt expect it to not work until the due date passed. Then the other two pass tasks i submitted them on time and i missed the discussion because i was feeling feverish and couldnt go upto uni which is 40 minutes bus ride at 8 in the morning so i thought ill discuss it next week, i agree it was my fault i didnt let unit chair know. So unit chair said that Only 3 pass tasks would be considered in the redemption week.
So i kept writing to the unit chair saying i dont wanna fail over something which i had no control over, and i have been getting HD in all rest of my units and im not faking anything. She said she is closing the matter and wont entertain it. So next week to the tutor i asked that if i would be failing he said you have submitted the work but discussion wasnt completed so they would not mark it complete 0 but half.
I went to student central and also talked there, they said they cant do anything about it for now as i shoulfve recorded the evidence before due date, and its too late in the trimester for special consideration, and if i fail i should come straight without wasting time to them and then we can work something out.
I just wanna ask if anybody had faced same situation or if they know, i would be passing or not. The tutor said that there is not a totally possibility that i might fail, he didnt seem sure that i would pass either.
