In this photo, we have a Canadian mink (Neogale vison) giving us its best "on the catwalk" impression, or more accurately, the "on the jagged-rocks-walk".

Shall we name it Mink Jagger? 😆🤙

Found this overachiever at the Little Etobicoke Creek showing off its geometry homework. 🌿

This image is a super close-up shot of a Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum or Dipsacus sativus) seed head. It looks less like a plant and more like a high-density apartment complex for very tiny, very grumpy hedgehogs.

"I'm not a walk, I'm just a fly with a very specialized aerodynamic... situation." 🪰 Little Etobicoke Creek Trail. Applewood Hills.

Just left of center is a cluster fly (Pollenia rudis), though it's seen better days. While these guys usually sport short, golden-yellow hairs on their thorax, this particular individual looks like it's been through a miniature bug-sized blender.
