I suck at mixing vocals
As the title suggests, I’m currently struggling to mix vocals, specifically my vocals, to that clear, somewhat industry standard vocal. I’ve been working on this song for over a month because I can’t seem to get it right at various YouTube videos don’t seem to help. I’m also starting to think it may have been poor mic placement, but I’ve recorded multiple times and the raw vocals sound fine to me.
What I’ve noticed is that my vocals sound “roomy” or “boxy”. Especially after fx.
What am I doing wrong?
