My dog found this little snake yesterday and I want to try making a wet specimen. I’m worried the isopropyl will damage the exposed bone over time so I was thinking of experimenting with a clear gloss over the bone before submerging it. If anyone has a better idea, I’d love to hear it! I’m avoiding formalin, I don’t have confidence in my chemical handling abilities yet. Bonus pic of my pup and her latest find <3

We just inherited this rose from my husband’s great grandma’s plant as a wedding gift. I’m not sure which variety it is but I could find out if that’s needed for advice. I have lots of low maintenance house plants but I’m terrified of killing it. We don’t have a yard so I plan to keep it in a pot until we can plant it when we buy a house. We have a small, covered patio that gets lots of sunlight but we live in the PNW so we don’t get sun all year. Any advice and suggestions on how to care for her would be greatly appreciated!
