Why There’s a Good Chance goaltender Andrea Brandli Falls to Vancouver in the 2nd Round and Should They Pick Her 13th overall

Andrea Brandli almost singlehandedly beat Canada by herself in the recent Olympics semifinals and is bar far the best goalie in the world not currently in the PWHL ranked anywhere from the top 10 or top 15th in the draft. Regardless of what the Goldeneyes do with their current goalies they need to consider taking her with their 2nd round pick.

If the draft order goes

1-4 (non playoff teams)

5-8 (expansion teams)

9-12 (playoff teams)

Then there’s a great chance she slips past 9th-12th overall consider those 4 teams (Minnesota/Boston/Ottawa/Montreal) already have elite starting goalies that will likely still be with them after expansion.

Gina Kingsbury is a bigger problem than Troy Ryan

Listened to her end of year press conference detailing what she thought a year later of the Shelton trade and basically talks about how O’briens points aren’t the whole story lol the arrogance on her. It was a horrible trade also when you factor in age as well plus the sceptres and no offence from barely anybody

She shouldn’t be the gm of Toronto or team Canada again

Fillier-O’Brien-Murphy line will be deadly

Fact is Abbey Murphy is going to “fall” to the Sirens at 3rd overall (assuming they keep their pick) and as much as people don’t like her antics, this is an

absolute steal for New York (yes she’s better than Laila). Murphy is already a top 5 forward in the world today. Might win the pwhl scoring race next season.

Basically said what everybody already knows that the frost are going to lose some really good players in expansion but the most shocking thing said was that 4-5 Frost players need surgeries at the moment (have to guess maybe Buchbinder and Coyne are two of them).

Who do you want the Frost to draft with their 1st round pick?

One of the only silver linings for Minnesota being out earlier now is that their 1st round pick will be a little higher than if they won the championship. It’s looking like they’ll either pick 5th if the league dosent let the expansion teams pick ahead of them or 9th if the league does.

Nelli Laitenen - defenceman - u of Minnesota

Kirsten Simms - forward - Wisconsin - U.S. gold medalist

Issy Wunder - forward - Princeton

Sydney Morrow - defence - u of Minnesota

- Also, even though it would be hard and unlikely as she’s ranked 2nd/3rd overall is the Frost could possibly try to somehow trade up to get Abbey Murphy as she’s definitely a “Frost” type of player to a fault as she plays like Curl but with more talent. Plus she’s obviously close with Taylor Heise and the other U.S. national team members on Minnesota

- it’s obvious the frost are going to lose at least 1-2 of either Pannek, Coyne, Stecklein, Zumwinkle, Cooper through the expansion period with how expansion teams can offer mandatory EFO offers for $100k that players have to sign. It’s going to hurt but it might impact their draft plans

Taylor Heise needs better linemates

She’s basically doing everything when she’s on the ice but her linemates most of the time (no offence to them) can’t finish or can’t think at her level to make plays. In a do or die game tommorow she should be playing with her team USA teammates like curl Coyne or zumwinkle on her line. Let players like knoll, hymrlova, Cogan or hustler crash and bang on the 3rd line.

- 47 minutes for stecklein, I think Klee has gotta find a way to manage her minutes if he can next game and after even if she is their most crucial defenceman in all situations. Especially with back to back games. They should give some more minutes to roese and batherson if they’re playing Morin so much too.

- Britta curl has no excuse to not be one of the best players on the ice next game considering she has fresh legs

- the 4th line kinda sucks, turning the puck over all game and not getting the puck out of their own end most of the time. And that 2 on 1 in ot with Giguère and and Anderson was sooo bad the game should have been over on that play
