Digital Drawing Glove that Doesn't Glide?

Does anyone know of drawing gloves that maintain the same level of friction a bare hand has on a digital drawing screen? I got myself a glove because sometimes drawing sessions have to go so long, my pinky can start to blister. The problem is, I'm extremely used to the control I get from the friction of my hand against the display. When I use the glove, it's so glid-ey that I lose a lot of control. My arm and wrist muscles need to work harder to maintain the same level of control, and it's a bit fatiguing. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Joystick swap isn't working (please help if you can)

I'm using a dualsense controller and playing a game where swapping joysticks isn't really an option when flying around in space, so I'm using DSX to swap my joysticks. Thing is, it isn't working.

The game also supports adaptive triggers and haptics and all that, so I'm using my Dualsense in "Native Mode." I've also noticed that within Native Mode, there are two options for how I want to register inputs: Physical Input and Virtual Input. I'm confused what the difference is between these two, but regardless, neither of them seems to allow me to swap my joysticks.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Is teaching really a viable side hustle?

As far as animation side-hustles go, I can understand becoming a professor or instructor at a college/university, since those positions aren't usually full-time, but what about becoming a K-6, or high school art instructor? I'm hoping to get some professional opinions on it, from those with more experience navigating the animation industry.

For a little more about my situation and why I'm asking about this:

Currently, I'm trying to break into the industry. I have a masters degree in animation, a modest, but solid amount of experience under my belt, and a portfolio I'm constantly trying to improve to stand out. Regardless, the industry is proving... difficult to break into, to say the least.

With a masters degree, I'm hoping to get a side hustle going as a college instructor. I love to teach, and when working as a TA at my graduate program, I got the chance to teach younger college-level students and loved it. With that being said, considering just how many incredibly experienced and well-seasoned veterans are out of the job right now, I have a strong feeling I'm competing with a massive pool of applicants who have far more robust resumes and portfolios than I have. Even with the masters degree, I'm guessing colleges and universities are prioritizing those with more experience.

So, I'm starting to apply to K-12 and high school teaching positions. I love to teach across the board--even to little kids. The issues? Well, the pay is small, and the hours are generally much longer. So, considering the fact that I'm actively trying to break into the industry right now, constantly improving my portfolio, taking freelance side gigs when I get them, etc, I'm a little concerned a kids educator position could become overwhelming and burn me out.

For those who've found balance between industry work and education work, do you have any suggestions? Would it be a mistake to apply, and potentially accept, a full-time kids educator job while simultaneously trying to break into the animation industry? I'm also in desperate need of health insurance, and since most of the work I get as an animator is low-level non-union freelance gigs, I'm not exactly on track to becoming part of the animators union any time soon. Any advice at all is much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

No scroll bar in Vortex v2.0

As title says, I don't see the side scroll bar while scrolling up and down my modlist in Vortex anymore since the 2.0 update. For games with thousands of mods installed, this was useful to have, as I could get a direct visual of how far up/down the list I am at any given time. It was also useful to quickly scroll to the top or bottom of the mods list, because I could grab the little wedge in the scroll bar to swipe up to the top or bottom as needed. Not sure why they'd get rid of it but I hope Nexus brings it back.

"Failed to get list of mod files" error in Vortex 2.0

Every time I download a new mod for a game in Vortex 2.0, I get the above error message. However, it downloads the mod and installs it just fine. So I'm not sure what the problem is. I guess it's just another vortex 2.0 bug. Anyone else encountering this?

for a while, I couldn’t play back high bitrate content on the plex client on my Xbox series s or ps5. I had to go through a whole rigmarole installing Kodi, a different client that can link into a plex server, just because the plex client on Xbox couldn’t play back high bitrate content without heavy stutter. but I opened it up today and… it’s fixed?! this is incredible! I’m not sure if this fix was implemented intentionally, or if anyone else had noticed the change, but being able to play back true HDR content, with lossless audio on an Xbox series S of all things is just phenomenal. I’m so happy it’s working! if anyone else has had issues in the past with plex and consoles, I ancoutage you to give it another shot. Hopefully it will work for you as well. I should also note I haven’t tried on my PS5 yet but I plan to. hopefully it’s fixed there too

edit: never mind. While general stutters due to high bitrate seem to be mostly fixed, there are still issues with hitches during playback of certain films with forced subtitles. Salt, for example, is a movie with a forced subtitle track, and it will not play back correctly. It stutters—something which doesn’t happen when using PlexKodiConnect in the Kodi client on the Xbox.
