Progress report on my surfboard guitar.

This is wayyyyyyy more harder than I thought it would be. Not that I thought it was easy but that I thought it’d be a bit more straightforward. I could have just used the guitar body but I wanted to keep it in one piece just cause it seemed wrong to cut up a guitar I just bought.

I’m considering painting the whole thing banana yellow.

This won’t be a one for one replica of Takanaka’s surfboard guitar but the way I’m making it is in the same essence of his. I won’t paint the guitar neck myself but maybe when I have money I’ll get the whole thing repainted professionally.

I know it looks janky right now but trust the process!
Finished product will be a finished product :)

being in Sydney it’s very hard to find Takanaka records. First time seeing this record in the flesh. Had to buy it!
(Even tho I’m broke from Takanaka tour)
