I’ve never used anything more than Badger bug spray on my toddler which worked okayish for mosquitoes, but now I’m a mom of 2 and the risk of Lyme and especially alpha-gal is really scary to me. I have known a few people whose lives were destroyed by Lyme disease. I can’t even imaging how bad living with alpha-gal is. I’m so crunchy, but I’m seriously considering picaridin bug spray for my kids at this point. I’d only use it when spending extended time outdoors in more tick-prevalent spaces, not for backyard play time, though maybe I should consider that as well? Am I overthinking this or being rational? I’d love some fellow crunchy mom thoughts on it.

What restaurants/bars are open currently? What are some family-friendly things to do besides the zoo and beach while there?
