Sharing in case anyone needs the help
Thought I’d share a fix that worked for me. I got an aftermarket muffler on my 2004 5.3L and it revealed that I was smoking on startup- burning oil. Spent some time researching that led me to needing an updated driver side valve cover/pcv design. After 3 months of seeing the smoke on startup I put on an updated valve cover from Dorman and a new pcv hose and haven’t seen any smoke on startup ever since. Adding a pic of my valve train too since I was in there, how’s she looking for 180k miles? Looked pretty good to me
