Bought a PO ETB when it launched that I set aside for a rainy day rip session. After getting enough PO single packs and bundles from the vending machines over the past couple months, started feeling like it’d be better to trade it in at the next card show towards the cards I’m missing from the set.

A friend was coming over to play Magic tonight with some old childhood decks I found, but I realized I didn’t have sleeves for one of the decks. Remembered I had the ETB in the closet and that it had a set of sleeves in it. Figured I’d treat it like some expensive instant delivery fee included sleeves and a Tyrunt promo I wanted anyways.

Anyways this is what was inside.

Finally built up and did some initial testing with a SOLGW SPR barrel (14.5”) after seeing Preston Moore’s review. I’m not a brand loyalist and have shot and tested Criterion, Geissele, WOA, Noveske, BRT, Triarc, etc. I just like shooting groups and seeing what different gear (and I) can do.

All groups are handloads I had laying around, none were specifically optimized for this barrel, no headspace measurements, no jump measurements or seating depth tests (which I don’t do for gas gun loads anyways).

The smallest group here is actually shot with my cheapest 28cpr reloads using cheaper RMR 75gr bullets, Ginex primers, PMC range pick up brass prepped on a progressive press (no chamfering or checking neck tension), and Midwest Powder MP-424-4 (which claims to be “like 2230” but absolutely is not like 2230, and seems much closer to N140 / Varget in terms of burn rate based on velocity and pressure curves I’m observing from gas tuning needed).

The group over 1MOA is definitely me pulling the left most shot (called before I saw the hit), and is a 0.82MOA 9-shot group otherwise.

I know some folks are pulling off <0.6MOA 10-shot groups from gas guns, but I’m pretty happy with these results (with my skills as a shooter). This is now the most accurate AR barrel I’ve personally tested.
