How do I make it go away? I have no idea why it's showing vimeo. To make sure that never happens again I added 127.0.0.1 vimeo.com to my hosts file.
I updated 4K Video Downloader today, and now I’m having several major things.
Everything worked fine before the update (except age-restricted videos).
After the update, the software is basically unusable for me.
It feels like these features were intentionally removed.
I paid, Pro license, so why are more and more features becoming unavailable to me?
This update brings a big batch of fixes and improvements, especially for YouTube downloads.
What’s new:
• Fewer “failed to download” errors on YouTube when you’re not logged in
• 4K/8K, 360° formats, audio tracks, and subtitles are back in 4K Video Downloader+ and Android
• Fewer YouTube requests when parsing channels and playlists, reducing the chance of temporary blocks
• Better handling of upcoming/unprocessed live streams and inaccessible private videos
• TikTok downloads no longer fail, crash the app, or download without sound
• Smart Mode now properly respects the selected codec
• Frequently used subtitle languages now appear at the top of the Smart Mode list
• Better handling of files with non-Latin names
• Higher-quality channel thumbnails that stay after restarting the app
• Several UI, stability, Ubuntu, and macOS fixes
For subscriptions in 4K Video Downloader+, checks are now up to 5× more frequent, and queued subscriptions show their video count.
The update also fixes the Ubuntu 26.04 launch issue, restores sound in the built-in browser on Ubuntu, and brings back the drag-to-Applications arrow in the macOS installer.

A quick heads-up: 26.3.1 hasn’t been rolled out through the regular update channel yet, so you won’t see an in-app update prompt or release notes for this build just yet.
If you need the fix now, you can install 26.3.1 manually from the website. Otherwise, you can wait for the public rollout, and the app will notify you automatically once it’s available.

YouTube has recently introduced additional platform changes that are affecting the functionality of our apps.
Our development team is already investigating the issue and working on a fix. Once we have a solution, it will go through testing to make sure the apps remain stable before we release the update.

4K Video Downloader+
I have the purchased version of 4k Video Downloader (Lifetime),
I frequently change the download folder depending on the anime season title or the download site.
However, if I change the download folder before a download finishes, the file ends up being saved in an unexpected folder.
Is it possible to attach the download folder name to the internal data when adding a task to the download queue?
I am paid up, personal license, windows. and everything I have tried to download today is "failed to download". I updated it just today
4K Video Downloader got an update on the 14th, but today it's not working again. Is it just me?
I don't know what's going on. I feel like an idiot. It's only downloading short videos now. I have plenty of storage. There's no way all of these videos have a block on them. Half of them are from dead channels.
UPDATE; The app is working again. I tried 3 different videos from 3 different channels, including my own.

All it says is failed to download there's no error number. It does keep trying to download.

I have the purchased version of 4k Video Downloader (Lifetime), but my Audio Quality is capped at 128kbs unless.....I purchase another upgrade......
WHY?
I already purchased it once and even if I download 4k video, it caps the audio at 128kbs, which sounds terrible. Audio quality for video or audio should be at least 320kbs.
So why do I have to purchase another upgrade to get not-grabage audio?
For future updates to this app, will there ever be an updated way to tell the difference between the meaning of the red triangles?
4327 refers to the current amount of accounts I regularly keep up to date, and I am constantly offloading old accounts and updating them to ensure they are still active, in order to hopefully save space on the 18TB drive they call home.
Unless I am mistaken currently the red triangles have the following meanings
Also will there be an easier way to deal with accounts that have been switched/changed/made private? Would be much easier to identify so that they can be offloaded.
I'm literally doing nothing with the soft just being opened in the background on my mac since a few days and look at the memory activity monitor, this is getting ridiculous
Im just curious if I would get a virus from downloading this, I dont trust stuff I download anymore.
4K Tokkit doesn’t allow me to log in, the window that opens remains black. If disabled everything that could make it black (dark modes, etc). Any ideas?
