Took a break for a minute hoping Id come back to enjoy this game again but it is literally so boring.

Love the IP as Ive said many times but there just isn't anything to keep people playing after awhile. Sure it's new but that doesn't mean there couldn't be more. And I dont wanna hear that "oh well one of the biggest events is coming up" lmao a big event should have happened a long time ago. This game is for super Simps and people who just wanna waste money. In like MAYBE a year it could be good but since the devs REALLY suck I doubt that in pretty much every way. If you wanna cry about how good it is and this and that then do but you know you are wasting your time. I'd love to see things change but I think anyone not riding the devs hard knows it won't.

GAME DEVS, READ.

This document was created out of pure frustration from both my own experience and the experiences of my friends while playing Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. As top players currently clearing endgame content in under a mere 12 seconds (recent junction marmus), I honestly believe that I have reached the pinnacle, and that my friends and I have spent enough time with the game to fully understand every aspect of its systems, progression, and balancing both the good and the bad. We have invested countless hours (556++ hrs) grinding, testing and using materials for unnecessary builds, and pushing difficult content, experiencing the strengths and flaws of the game through every single stage of progression from the very start. We are at the point now where we believe our perspectives and criticisms come from pure experience and also dedication to the game (and my undying love for the 7DS IP), and are therefore worth paying attention to.
We decided here to create a list giving constructive criticism regarding mainly things that aren’t included in the community complaints written a few days ago, whilst also talking about the content creation (youtubers dickriding) and game marketing surrounding this game which honestly has been handled terribly. Think of this as advice from players who have done all the dirty work, the endless grinding, the massive amounts of money spent, testing, wasting resources, and pushing every single piece of endgame content possible whilst STILL TRYING to enjoy this game. We have made it, and done everything this game currently has to offer under the sun, and because of that we understand the game better than most people who casually speak on it. This document is not coming from players who “quit early”, but from players who suffered through every system imaginable and still continued playing long enough to see how fundamentally flawed many parts of this game actually are. We have to make this clear.

Why is the Gluttonous Long Sword worse than the Black Flame Long Sword? The Gluttonous Long Sword is literally the exclusive weapon designed specifically for Meliodas and can only be used on this version of the character, yet somehow it performs worse than a universal weapon that multiple characters can equip. It genuinely feels like this was never properly thought through or balanced by the developers.

Why are elemental attack stats (Earth, Fire, Cold, etc.) even included on rings? The chances of getting them are already extremely low, yet they are still significantly worse than simply getting Crit Damage, which is universal and works on basically every DPS character. There is almost no reason for players to want any other ring substat when Crit Damage outperforms nearly everything else. At that point, players can just equip the same Crit Damage ring setup onto every DPS character, making elemental rings feel completely useless and poorly designed.

The current best setup for most DPS characters is the Mad Miner set combined with the Corrupted Watchers ring. Why is a 4-star artifact set somehow the strongest option for endgame characters? It makes absolutely no sense progression-wise. The only current way to farm the Mad Miner set is through easier difficulty bosses that realistically are not even worth spending keys on in the first place, and endgame gearing should not function like this at all. On top of that, the new set released alongside Escanor is genuinely terrible for him. Escanor literally released with HP bonus equipment and additional HP scaling built directly into his kit, yet somehow he scales horribly with HP in practice. It honestly feels like his abilities, equipment, and intended playstyle were never properly thought through together, because none of it synergizes the way it should.

Please remove the BLOCK feature entirely. This mechanic singlehandedly makes Escanor undoubtedly the worst limited banner character compared to Meliodas by an absurd margin. Escanor is a character that already requires an unreasonable amount of setup, needing massive amounts of Magic Gauge and time just to build toward one large burst window, yet after all that effort his entire ultimate can simply get attack blocked and deal literally 0 damage. It is one of the most frustrating and horribly designed mechanics imaginable for a character built entirely around slow buildup and payoff. What makes this even worse is that players are then practically forced to build Pierce on Escanor just to bypass block, which directly lowers his actual damage output in the process. So not only does he already take longer to set up than Meliodas, but he is also forced into weaker stat builds just to function consistently. Meanwhile Meliodas can output significantly higher damage with far less effort, less punishment, and far more consistency. It genuinely feels like Escanor was designed without any consideration of the current combat mechanics in the game whatsoever.

The new Magic Gauge artifact set is actually a solid and interesting idea, however the 5-minute cooldown attached to it is completely unnecessary and ruins the flow of the set entirely. The effect already has built-in limitations since it does not stack and only activates when hitting an enemy at 100% HP, making it naturally balanced and situational by itself. Because of this, adding such a massive cooldown feels excessive and poorly thought out. By no means would removing or reducing the cooldown suddenly make the set overpowered. The conditions required to activate it already prevent it from being abused. Instead, the cooldown just makes the set feel clunky and frustrating to use for no real reason, especially when the effect itself is not even game breaking in the first place.

You seriously need to buff Escanor. He is arguably the most beloved and hyped character in the entire The Seven Deadly Sins franchise, yet somehow he performs considerably worse than Meliodas in nearly every important boss fight in the game, even in content where he is supposedly designed to shine such as Time Space Junction with his own 20% ATK and Pierce buffs. There are even situations where King outperforms him in content like Abyss Ferzen Mines and Time Space Junction 2, which is honestly embarrassing for a premium limited DPS character built around being a powerhouse. What makes this feel even worse is that in the actual series, Escanor is portrayed as one of the strongest characters for the majority of the story, yet in-game he feels weaker than original game exclusive characters that a large portion of the player base does not care about nearly as much. A character this iconic, loved, and anticipated should never feel this underwhelming after all the time, resources, and hype players invested into him. Instead of feeling like the unstoppable monster people remember from the anime, he currently feels like a poorly balanced side option that struggles to justify his place over Meliodas in almost every scenario.

How has the glitch where character stats are incorrectly applied to the wrong weapon still not been fixed? There are situations where my Guila is visibly using the sword and shield weapon setup, yet her stats are still being calculated as if she is using the rapier instead. This is not some tiny visual bug either, it directly affects gameplay. For a game so heavily focused around gear optimization and stat min-maxing, it is honestly ridiculous that a bug this fundamental still exists (was prevalent from release btw). It makes the entire gearing system feel unreliable and unpolished when players cannot even trust that the stats shown are matching the weapon currently equipped.

The people representing your game are honestly god awful. The only person who actually had high knowledge of the game was Seatin who had just recently quit the game. Your representatives Amazing and Beats haven’t thoroughly tested enchants, weapons, characters, and gear properly. They recently found out that purple enchant equipment attack contributes to the 30% attack increase 1 full month after we all found out. Though I do not fully blame them for this because the game itself did not explicitly indicate that it would. However, this still shows how little actual testing is being done before information is spread to the player base. These players representing your game have not even optimized their characters correctly. I have played this game since launch, which was the exact same time they started, yet my characters do considerably more damage than theirs simply because I actually tested and optimized properly. For example, my Potential 6 Diane does far more damage than Beats’s Diane which is supposedly his favorite character and one he claims is well optimized. These YouTubers are giving advice based on surface level intuition whilst not testing all possible options. Another example is when Amazing Grand Cross, Beats, and Kelbert (the holy trinity of utter bullshit content) spread misinformation regarding the best weapon for Meliodas, the best enchants, and so on simply because they have not tested enough. It is extremely clear that these players have no intention of optimizing characters to their fullest extent which I consider to be a terrible look for the game as a whole. Imagine freshly starting the game, watching any of them, and aiming to achieve their specific builds hoping to maximize your characters just to later find out that following their builds and guides mostly does not actually lead to maximizing your characters at all. Considering the difficulty of Abyss stages and Time Space Junction, optimizing scarce resources such as Platinum Keys on the wrong gear, weapons, and enchants can seriously damage player progression and overall enjoyment of the game. I genuinely recommend advocating for content creators who actually go deeper beyond surface-level assumptions because this game especially requires proper testing due to how ambiguous progression already is. This doesn’t even begin to cover the amount of surface-level information they put out that even a 4-year-old could understand after a tiny amount of testing.

We have been viewing this game on standby from the sidelines for a long time now and practically are among the best players in the game currently, and I think it is finally about time we actually say something. We have endured all of these unnecessary, time wasting systems and issues for two months now, whilst still continuing to push and optimize every aspect of the game. And believe me, there are still a lot more issues regarding this game that are not even being covered here. We are already aware of the countless other mainstream issues surrounding the game overall and its quality of life systems, many of which were already mentioned within the community notes such as the new engraving system, farming, and other progression issues. However, we also strongly believe that the points brought up within this document are extremely important to consider because they directly reflect many of the deeper gameplay and design flaws contributing to the current downfall and overall state of the game.

I love 7DS at heart and I genuinely HATE the direction this game is heading.
