Who actually needs geo ?

This is probably a silly question but I am curious about the composition of this subreddit: Are the members primarily business owners focusing on brand growth, marketing professionals with SEO experience, or students ?

I want to influence what ChatGPT says

I am told FAQ schema helps, but my testing says otherwise. ChatGPT only reads rendered page text.

So if I put something in the rendered page text, like a description about the service, and a specific named package, will that increase the chance it says what I want it to say?

I know these things are rando, but RAG should be able to be influenced. it's not pulling everything from training data. It's pulling from reviews right? H1 on the page?

Man you can't ask these tools how they work. They just hallucinate answers. We can only test.

Hi Guys, How do you measure the performance of AEO now?

A few days ago, my client told me she wants to focus primarily on AI SEO now. She asked me how we measure AEO performance beyond the tools that now show you the percentage of visibility or citation scores.

At that point, I knew I couldn't be telling her "keywords" anymore. Still, instead, I confidently told her, " We will measure by 'Topics" Suddenly, I felt I wasn't sure if this was the right method because the prompts are infinite and conversational.

For those of you who are already doing AI SEO for clients now, what is your measurement framework? Are you still tracking keywords at all, or have you fully pivoted to topical authority and citation metrics? Would love to hear how you’re justifying the AI SEO performance to clients.
