Built shot by shot to test if AI could act, not just animate
I wanted to see if AI could tell a story through performance rather than dialogue.
Inspired by Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, and The Three Stooges, I built this short shot by shot, focusing on timing, expression, and pacing. This wasn't a prompt-and-upload experiment — AI was the tool, but the film was directed.
Tools: ComfyUI, Draw Things, Dzine, Magnific Spaces, Kling, LTX, Wan, Nano, GPT, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve/Fusion, and PureRef. Lots of testing. Music started as one track, then I built out supporting layers and stems with ACE-Step (open source) and Suno.
Would love feedback on the storytelling and the character performances specifically — that's what I was actually trying to nail.
