9700/34 May/June 2026

My practical exam is coming up next week and I really don’t know what to expect. Does anyone have any predictions, clues or even any tips and tricks so I can do well in the exam?

Help with question

I am really confused as to how the answer is D. Like isn't the line that Z is on inhalation since it's going up and the volume of air is increasing so how is it showing forced exhalation. Also where is forced exhalation on that graph and would vital capicity be the space between 60s and 70s or 70s and 80s?

Miss Estruch Bio predicted papers

Hey, I was just wondering how many people have attempted Miss Estruch's 2026 bio papers? And if so, how accurate you found them to be. Me personally, I did the first one today and finished in just over an hour, and imo, it was also very easy. It also missed a whole topic out (won't say which obvs) when idk, I feel that bio papers tend to include everything, kinda. This is for AQA btw. Please do let me know if you disagree, the last time I did a bio paper 1 was a couple weeks ago (the 2024 paper), so I may be off with this.

A big question about the variant change for pratical paper in oct/nov series in practical paper Helpp mee plss!!

Hi guys,

I want to know from the students who sat fpr the AS Level practical and other papers in oct/nov series in earlier years if they got any problem because the variant for zone 4 is 2 but the pratical paper is variant 3 or 4 did that affect their result, had a risk for getting disqualifiedor had problems when applying to universities from that result.

Zone 4 administrative Zone: Did you take Oct/Nov AS/A Level Bio, Chem, or Physics? 🧬🧪

Hey everyone! I’m a private candidate planning to take my O Level sciences in May/June, and then immediately sit all AS & A Level components for Biology (9700), Chemistry (9701), and Physics (9702) this October/November.

If you’ve done this science combo in the Oct/Nov series before, I’d love your advice:

  • How did you handle the incredibly fast-paced timetable and build up paper-writing stamina?
  • For Biology, my written papers are Variant 2, but the practicals are Paper 33 or 34. Did this mix cause any grading or registration issues?
  • Any tips for clearing the practicals as a private candidate?

Thanks a lot!

compiling hard questions for AS bio

okay since everyone is having their exams, why don’t we make this a place where all hard questions for AS Bio are compiled and we can help each other. This probably sounds excessive but it would probably help a lot of students and get a vision of the difficulties of various questions of various levels from different students in one single place. Instead of searching for things one by one, this could probably help, so please cast all your queries here and we’ll all try and help and answer from our own knowledge. Happy question asking!

Urgent - OCR A LEVEL BIOLOGY HELP.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REVISE IN THESE LAST 2 WEEKS FOR BIOLOGY OCR A A LEVEl
If i was to do a past paper on paper 1 bio ocr A - id average around low B if the paper was shit. paper 2 = low C , paper 3 = i got B-A average. Since my first bio exam is on the 4th june i need to find an efficient way to study. I got plenty of past papers printed but i was wondering if i should do the content first then exam questions or do exam questions and learn from the mark scheme. I also have save my exams subscription. Any suggestions on how to maximize my grade within the last 2 weeks or so. Generally my main issue is biodiversity, populations and manipulating genomes and patterns of inheritance. Others are manageable

AQA A-Level biology advice

For anyone who’s done/doing a level bio, do u have any good revision tips on how to quickly improve grades?? I feel like I know the content decently but when it comes to the actual questions I never do that great. I’m currently around a B/A but I’m hoping for an A/A*

Edexcel bio u3

Hey everyone, I did Edexcel IAL Biology in January and unfortunately I failed Unit 3 and got an E. Honestly, I still don’t fully understand where I messed up because I was genuinely confident that I would at least pass, but that wasn’t the case.

I’m now retaking U3, but the problem is I haven’t even started revising yet and I’m feeling really overwhelmed. If anyone has any good resources, notes, revision tips, YouTube channels, or advice that helped you with Biology U3, I would really appreciate it.

Especially anything that explains the practicals, evaluation questions, and how to structure answers properly.

Thank you so much in advance.
