hey!

so a little while back I posted a WiP of a couple of corsairs saying I was having some trouble with the amount of detail on them and while theres been a heatwave in the Uk I’ve slowed down on painting so much! but really wanted to show off my progress

please excuse the pile of bad photos and lack of bases.

so far I have got(not everything is in these photos)

An Autarch wayleaper kitbash

a farseer(just from the kt box)

10 corsairs(two units of 5, with a Felarch each)

5 rangers (4 + one Ranger from the kt box)

5 banshees that are all classic metal models my friend gave me to have a go at painting

5 striking scorpions I kitbashed together from corsairs and rangers parts plus some chainswords I got online

I have had so much fun making these and really hope I can get more work done on them soon, it’s been a real struggle working out a scheme and painting them to a level I am happy with like I have in my mind but I can’t wait to actually finish a model. have so much left to do on them and I’ve been putting off the bases and gems but loving the experience.

Aeldari Falcons I made as surprise Nemesis Operatives for my son. He’s going to start the game not knowing what he’s up against other than 3 aeldari soldiers “guarding” a warehouse. Once a soldier is killed the two gents will enter guns blazing.

Took time out from painting to get my corsair army completely built, primed and on magnetised bases but had a little too much fun mixing and matching pieces, so it took forever. Looking forward to getting paint on them and taking them for a spin though!

Would it be weird to put my spare set of Skyreaver Felarch wings (the big ones) on Prince Yriel instead of the flags that he comes with? I'm not really a big lover of flags generally, but dont want my HQ to be too much of a weirdo either...

I painted a few of the Corsairs that I hadn't colored before, hopefully it won't turn out badly. I also tried using highlights and shadows, which I'm not good at before. But I still find the cape very difficult to paint, and I'm still looking for techniques I like.

I recently decided to take the dive into Aeldari Corsairs after the launch of their small range and exodites pushed me over the edge. I bought Yriel to do a quick test paintjob and I’m digging the scheme, so I bought the battleforce. Any tips on this army? For context, I’ve been playing Emperor’s Children since they launched in 10th so I like the fast playstyle. What units past the battleforce are fun to play/ flavorful? What are some good ways to pilot this force? Any tips are welcome, we have a very casual play group where most are playing Space Marines (dark angels, blood angels, ultramarines as blood ravens) and I want to be successful enough to have fun.
