Why do they keep dieing?
I just bought 6 African dwarf frogs,3 phantom tetras and 2 juli corydoras and I have them in this 20 gallon long (see picture) and all of them have been doing fine untill yesterday. 3 frogs died within the span of 6 hours, and I couldn't figure out why. I did multiple test strips and the nitrate looked fine , the nitrite looked fine, the pH was good. Everything looked normal but then this morning, I wake up and another one had died. And of course it's almost 2 weeks after I bought them so the guarantee has expired. I'm going back to the store I bought the. From today and seeing if they can do anything about it and see if they can test my water. I think it might be the chlorine in the water as my city water was recently extremely high in chlorine but I also think it is the ammonia levels due to the high waste level from the frogs. If you have any tips or what I should do please let me know as I am 14 and new to this.
Moving frogs to new tank question
Hi yesterday my neighbor gave me her frogs because she's moving and the tank they are in isn't ideal. Yesterday I went and bought a new 10 gallon and got live plants and two hides and will be getting more plants and ect but I set everything up last night. I'm not sure how long I should wait to move them into the new tank because the one they are in now is pretty bad 😞 I've added more water but then my neighbor told me she's been using distilled water and I used tap but conditioned. I'm 100% new at this and just want to do the best I can for them so any advice and help is really appreciated!!
PLEASE HELP
Help!! Ive had this tank with my frogs going for almost 3 months. Last week i was doing some tank maintenance rinsing filter, cleaning sand all that good stuff. (Filter was rinsed in unneeded tank water) Ever since ive had 3 deaths in my tank. Before the frogs die they display this “chill” behavior. Unfortunately another one started acting that way this morning so its only a matter of time for #4. After some internet searches ive come up with 0 conclusions. I just want to know whats wrong.
Meet Froppy and Kermit!
We went to our local fish shop that we got Cheesecake (our betta) from, she had a handful of frog tankmates. After a well establishing of the tank and settling of Cheesecake we decided to reunite them! We are really confident with her temperment and ability to get along with the frogs. She just sits there and watches them and they just bump into her, no signs of stress. They seem pretty silly so far, exploring the tank and finding all the little hides. They also really love the lace plant in the picture!
