SHRED Heavies Shark Attack Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this tonight with a friend. This came to me through the mail as a sample. Same honesty either way.

SHRED Heavies Shark Attack are triple-infused sativa pre-rolls featuring THCA diamonds, distillate, and added terpenes with a blue raspberry and green apple flavour profile.

Right out of the package the aroma isn’t especially loud, but it’s definitely there. The smell instantly reminded both of us of those old wildberry Twizzlers from the 90s. Sweet artificial berry candy with almost a candle-like quality sitting underneath it.

That flavour comes through much more strongly once lit. There really isn’t much actual cannabis flavour left to notice here. This product is very clearly built around the infused flavour profile and heavy potency experience rather than showcasing flower character.

The smoke itself was a little harsher than I would personally prefer, especially on larger pulls. One big hit honestly feels more like taking a heavy bong rip than hitting a standard pre-roll. Surprisingly though, the burn quality itself was solid the entire way through. Nice resin ring forming almost immediately and fairly light ash despite how heavily infused the product is.

Effects hit fast and stayed heavily head-focused throughout the session. Definitely more of a brain high than a body high. Conversational, energetic, and mentally stimulating, but also just forgetful enough that you catch yourself losing track of what you were talking about halfway through saying it. The high itself was fairly fleeting considering the potency, which honestly surprised both of us a little.

The flavour actually held together all the way through the joint, which honestly impressed me more than expected. We were able to finish the whole thing, although it definitely became a little rougher near the end. Nostalgic flavour profile overall, but probably not something I would personally buy again.

About the brand: SHRED is owned by Organigram and focuses heavily on approachable, flavour-forward cannabis products designed around convenience, accessibility, and high-impact social smoking experiences. The Heavies line pushes that even further into stronger potency and more novelty-driven infused formats.

My score: 7.1/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was our experience. If you enjoy heavily infused flavour-forward products with strong immediate head effects and don’t mind artificial candy terp profiles, you may rate this higher than we did.

Soar C99 Haze 7g Flower Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. This was given to me as a sample and is just hitting the Alberta market. MSRP sits around $47.97 for 7g. Same honesty either way.

Right when the jar opens you get hit with a huge sweet citrus candy nose that absolutely explodes after a grind. Super tasty smelling flower with a bright terp profile that immediately stands out.

The flower itself looked great overall. Trim was fairly clean with lots of nice visual appeal and healthy trichome coverage, although a few buds still had some noticeable stem handles left on the ends. Moisture content felt dialed in nicely too. Not overly sticky, which made it grind evenly and roll very easily. I used Gizeh Green papers for this joint.

The flavour translated beautifully into the smoke. Bright sweet citrus carries through properly instead of disappearing after the first few pulls. Burn quality was excellent with a lighter ash, a nice resin ring forming early, and an impressively smooth smoke all the way through.

Effects hit quickly and stayed very head-forward throughout the session. Bright uplifting energy right off the hop, and by halfway through the joint I could already tell this was going to be a productive high. By the end of the smoke I was definitely quite high, but still in a motivated and functional way rather than mentally foggy.

This feels like a great daytime sativa for keeping momentum going whether it’s riding, cleaning, hiking, creative writing, or just staying mentally engaged while getting things done. Really enjoyable sativa effects overall.

About the brand: Soar is positioned as a more premium flower-focused line under the Pure Sunfarms umbrella, aimed at showcasing stronger terp expression, curated genetics, and a more refined smoking experience while still staying relatively accessible on price.

My score: 8.5/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy bright citrus-forward sativas with productive heady effects and smooth smoke quality, you may rate this even higher than I did.

SHRED Gnarberry DartZ Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried these today. These were provided to me as a sample through the mail. We do not currently carry them in store. Same honesty either way.

Right from opening the pack there’s a sweet berry scent with almost a slight ethanol note underneath. The dry pull carries through much the same way before lighting.

Once lit, the berry flavour comes through early and stays fairly enjoyable through the middle of the smoke. The flavour faded a bit toward the end, but there was still enough actual cannabis character underneath to keep it from feeling completely artificial.

The format itself is honestly super convenient. SHRED calls these “tube style” on the package rather than cigarette style or slims. Considering Organigram’s connection to British American Tobacco, it’s hard not to notice the industry trying to create a little distance from traditional cigarette terminology even when the format itself is immediately familiar to most consumers.

These were packed tightly and rolled consistently, and honestly the construction felt just as solid as any other product in this format.

They light easily and burn evenly through the middle. Smoke was a little heavier than expected and had me coughing a bit at times, but overall still reasonably smooth. Ash stayed fairly light, which makes sense given the thicker paper and flavour-forward profile.

Effects landed in a moderate functional zone for me. Bright, motivating, carefree, and easy to keep smoking without getting completely lost in the couch. Lower volume effects combined with the convenient format honestly made these disappear pretty quickly throughout the session.

This still probably isn’t a format I’d personally reach for very often, but I also wouldn’t think someone was crazy for buying them. The convenience factor is real, and for people looking for an easy lower-volume grab-and-go smoke, I can absolutely see the appeal.

About the brand: SHRED focuses on approachable, flavour-forward cannabis products designed around convenience, accessibility, and easy social smoking experiences. SHRED is owned by Organigram, one of Canada’s larger cannabis producers, which has a significant strategic investment partnership with British American Tobacco. That connection makes some of the language choices around products like these a little interesting, especially when the package specifically refers to them as “tube style” instead of more traditional cigarette-style terminology.

My score: 7.5/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy smaller convenient pre-roll formats with lighter functional effects and subtle berry-forward flavour, you may rate these even higher than I did.

Nugz Flavour Bomb 40 Fruit Blast Taster Pack Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this over a couple sessions. This was provided to me as a sample. We have previously carried these on the menu around the $36.99 mark. Same honesty either way.

This pack includes five different diamond infused pre-roll flavours:

Pink Berry Rush

Grape Gonzo

Watermelon Wave

Blueberry Rebel

Banana Bonanza

The overall concept is honestly pretty fun. The packaging itself stands out right away with the unusual rounded bottom design and colourful presentation. It definitely feels built around flavour exploration and social smoking more than traditional strain hunting.

After working through the flavours, a pretty consistent pattern started to emerge. Each flavour had its own identity on the nose and early smoke, but underneath them all was a very similar infused base experience.

Pink Berry Rush leaned sweet candy berry. Grape Gonzo reminded me of grape lick-a-stick powder. Watermelon Wave was subtler on the nose but came through more clearly in the smoke. Banana Bonanza actually started out fairly enjoyable with a nice banana profile before quickly falling apart later into the joint. Blueberry Rebel ended up feeling the least distinct and came across more waxy than true blueberry.

One thing I kept noticing across almost every flavour was how little actual cannabis character remained once lit. The flavour becomes the smoke. Very little weed taste survives underneath the terp and diamond infusion profile.

Smoke quality itself was decent but inconsistent. Most joints burned reasonably evenly, but several required fairly active puffing to stay lit properly. Ash ranged from medium grey to very dark depending on the flavour, although ash colour alone honestly doesn’t mean much anymore.

The effects were probably the most consistent part of the entire pack. Immediate noticeable diamond effects with a strong tug on the eyelids, moderate uplift, and a reasonably functional high throughout. I described it in my notes as a “high volume low nuance diamond high,” and honestly that still feels accurate. Strong effects, but not especially layered or memorable.

The biggest issue for me personally was flavour fatigue and finishability. Almost every joint started stronger than it finished. By around the halfway point I repeatedly found myself naturally wanting to put the joint out rather than continue smoking it. Not because the effects were overwhelming, but because the smoking experience itself became less rewarding as it went on.

I can absolutely see the audience for these. Social smokers, people who prioritize flavour over cannabis nuance, festival smokers, or consumers looking for a functional infused novelty pack will probably find a lot more value here than I did.

Personally though, I wouldn’t buy these for myself.

About the brand: Nugz operates under Cannara and has built a strong following around flavour-forward, accessible cannabis products that blend modern terp-focused experiences with approachable pricing and playful branding.

My score: 6.4/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy heavily flavour-forward infused products and prioritize novelty, sweetness, and strong immediate effects over traditional cannabis flavour, you may rate this significantly higher than I did.

Def not pure hash rosin

Hey guys I’m here to save you from wasting your money!

I bought Nugz “Fresh Frozen Hash Rosin” and haven’t been this disappointed for a while; chunky dark yellow almost separated, muted nose, super harsh smoke and a headachy high. I’ve been taking dabs long enough to know what’s actually hash rosin and whatever this bullshit is cut with.
Will not buy again.

SHRED OG Rootbeer Jar of Joints Review

SHRED OG Rootbeer Jar of Joints Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. These were provided to me as a sample and are not yet in market. Same honesty either way.

Right out of the jar there’s a subtle creamy sweetness on the nose alongside some light skunky character. The root beer profile isn’t overwhelming or artificial smelling. It sits more in the background and lets the cannabis still come through naturally.

Once lit, the root beer flavour shows up more clearly in the smoke. Creamy vanilla and spice notes come through in a surprisingly subtle way without completely taking over the experience. There’s still enough skunky cannabis flavour underneath to keep it feeling like actual weed instead of candy smoke.

The smoke itself is a little heavy and definitely sits in the lungs more than some lighter daytime joints, but it stayed smooth enough to keep smoking comfortably. By the halfway point there was a solid hash ring forming and the flavour was still holding together nicely.

Effects were stronger than I initially expected. Bright uplifting high with enough strength that I ended up spending way longer writing this review than planned. Functional overall, but definitely noticeable.

The jar itself also feels properly sealed and practical for keeping around. Honestly this feels like the kind of product you leave beside the computer to help kill the load times while working through spreadsheets or emails.

One thing I did notice was that one of the joints in the jar was visibly smaller than the others despite not being rolled any tighter. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it was noticeable enough to mention from a consistency standpoint.

About the brand: SHRED focuses on approachable, flavour-forward cannabis products built around convenience, social smoking, and recognizable terp-driven profiles at accessible price points.

My score: 7.9/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy sweeter terp profiles but still want the cannabis itself to remain part of the smoking experience, you may rate this even higher than I did.

Which OCS LPs are putting out true top shelf / AAAA flower?

I know this is probably gonna get some opinionated answers, but I’m asking this genuinely and in good faith. And before anyone comes in with “OCS doesn’t sell real AAAA”, that’s not really the discussion I’m trying to have here.

I’m more curious which LPs people think are putting out the best flower available on the OCS right now. Stuff that’s actually well cured, properly dried, trimmed nicely, potent and flavorful.

For me personally: Simply Bare, Frost, HighXotic, NorthernCanna, BLK MKT are standouts.

Who’s consistently dropping the best of the best on OCS in your opinion?

Super Toast Blue Raspberry Pop N’ Pour Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. This was provided to me as a sample. We do not currently carry it and after trying it, I personally would not bring it into the store. Retail looks to sit around the $16.99 range. Same honesty either way.

Right from opening the package, the smell is overwhelming blue raspberry candy with basically no noticeable cannabis aroma underneath. Very artificial and heavily in that candy drink lane. The flavour follows it exactly. Loud fake blue raspberry from start to finish with no real cannabis nuance coming through.

The mill itself was fairly coarse and still moist, which initially seemed promising, but the actual smoking experience just didn’t come together for me. It was difficult to get properly lit and while it technically stayed burning afterward, it never really produced satisfying pulls or enjoyable smoke.

Surprisingly, the ash itself was fairly light, which again proves that ash colour alone doesn’t necessarily mean good smoke quality.

I rolled this in Gizeh Green papers, so I’m comfortable saying the issue wasn’t the roll itself.

The smoke wasn’t especially harsh physically, but the flavour became unpleasant enough that I couldn’t finish the joint. The artificial blue raspberry profile lingered heavily in my nose afterward in a way I personally didn’t enjoy at all.

Effects were fairly unremarkable too. Functional enough, but nothing about the experience made me want to revisit it.

What bothers me more than the flavour itself is the lack of transparency around terp enhancement in products like this. There’s clearly a market for flavour-forward convenience cannabis, and that’s completely fine, but I personally would never sell a product like this without clearly informing consumers that botanical flavouring appears to be a major part of the experience.

I’ve carried Pop N’ Pour products before by customer request, and I’ve always found the added education difficult. A lot of newer consumers understandably assume these products represent natural cannabis flavour profiles, and I personally think the category would benefit from clearer transparency around flavour enhancement.

This product feels much more focused on novelty flavour than actual cannabis quality.

About the brand: Super Toast focuses heavily on approachable, flavour-forward convenience products aimed at casual consumers and easy sessionability rather than traditional craft cannabis experience.

My score: 4.8/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you strongly prefer candy-style flavour profiles over natural cannabis flavour, you may enjoy this more than I did.

Soar Widow Pop 7g Flower Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. This was provided to me as a sample. MSRP sits around $47.97 for 7g. Same honesty either way.

Right out of the jar the nose is heavy on fresh lemongrass with a surprisingly sharp citrus brightness. Very natural smelling with a clean terp profile that stands out immediately.

The smoke follows through exactly the way the aroma suggests. Strong lemon pepper profile with plenty of spice and a slight sweetness sitting underneath everything. I personally would have liked just a little more sweetness to balance it out, but that comes down more to preference than quality.

Smoke itself is heavy but smooth. Thick feeling pulls with a sharper pepper finish on the exhale that stays interesting instead of becoming harsh. Flavour carried nicely through the whole joint without falling apart halfway through.

Burn quality was solid overall with a moderate hash ring and darker ash than expected, although ash colour honestly doesn’t mean much on its own anymore.

The flower itself looked good too. Frosty buds with a healthy layer of trichomes throughout. Ground nicely in my standard hand grinder and rolled easily without any issues.

Effects landed in a really nice relaxing-but-functional zone. Calm body feel and relaxed mood without becoming sleepy or mentally foggy. This feels like a great after-work smoke when you still want to enjoy the evening instead of disappearing into the couch.

One thing that stood out to me is that this definitely feels like a noticeable step up from the standard Pure Sunfarms flower lineup. More refined terp expression, stronger flavour carry, and a more premium overall smoking experience.

About the brand: Soar is positioned as a more elevated flower-focused line under the Pure Sunfarms umbrella, aimed at showcasing stronger terp profiles, curated genetics, and a more premium smoking experience while still staying relatively accessible on price.

My score: 8.5/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy pepper-forward citrus profiles with smooth heavy smoke and relaxing functional effects, you may rate this even higher than I did.

Pure Sunfarms Big Hits Duo 10 x 0.5g Pre-Rolls Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. These were provided to me as a sample, but we currently have them on the menu for around $20.99. Same honesty either way.

This is another really smart product concept from Pure Sunfarms. The Big Hits Duo pack combines 5 Big White pre-rolls and 5 Kush God pre-rolls into one package, giving you two distinct indica experiences that actually complement each other really well.

One thing worth mentioning is the upcoming packaging update Pure Sunfarms is working on. Future drops are expected to feature the same clear window concept they’ve started introducing on some newer products, which lets them add more personality and visible strain information while staying compliant. Honestly, it feels like a meaningful step forward for legal cannabis packaging and helps products feel less sterile.

Starting with the Big White side, the nose was definitely more muted than it probably would be on its own, which honestly makes sense when you’ve got multiple terp profiles sharing the same package. What does come through is a creamy, sweet, comfortable kind of aroma that fits the strain well.

Smoke quality was honestly impressive. The roll itself felt a little loose at first, but it ended up smoking amazingly well. Smooth, creamy smoke with a nice easygoing sweetness that stayed enjoyable well into the middle of the joint. Burn was solid overall with a nice light grey ash and no major issues. Not much of a resin ring on this one, but it still felt like a clean comfortable smoke.

Effects are where Big White really lands for me. Chill body feel with a calming effect that slowly creeps in over the session. Doesn’t take me out of the game, just makes me happier to be there. This feels perfect for decompressing after work without completely shutting down for the night.

Moving over to the Kush God side, the nose was again fairly muted from being in a mixed pack, but the flavour still translated nicely once lit. This one felt thicker, more resinous, and slightly heavier overall than the Big White without adding much harshness.

The sweetness from the Pineapple God lineage pairs really well with the kush from the Pink Kush side of the cross. Slight fruity sweetness on the exhale with a richer smoke overall. More noticeable hash ring on this one too, although the ash leaned slightly darker.

One of the joints started with a slight canoe right from the beginning, but it managed to smoke through it naturally without needing correction. Overall the smoking experience still held together really well all the way to the end.

Effects came on quicker with Kush God. Heavy eyelids, relaxing body feel, and that classic slowing down of time, but still mentally available enough to stay social and enjoy the evening. Great for extending the night around a campfire or relaxing on the beach with friends.

What really makes this Duo pack work is how well the strains complement each other. Big White feels like the functional unwind after work, while Kush God feels like the heavier transition deeper into the evening. Honestly, it feels like a really practical smoker-focused product that prepares you for both parts of the night.

I’d absolutely buy this duo pack again.

About the brand: Pure Sunfarms operates under Village Farms and has become one of the biggest names in Canadian legal cannabis through consistent large-scale greenhouse production focused on approachable pricing, reliable quality, and classic strain offerings.

Big White score: 8.2/10

Kush God score: 8.5/10

Overall Duo Pack score: 8.7/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy practical strain variety packs with clearly different effects and solid everyday smoke quality, you may rate this even higher than I did.

BC Green Modified Grapes Flower Rosin

Amazing looking buds, a little light on the terps, smokes smooth in a joint! Covered in trichomes with a light green and purple hues with orange pistols! Fluffy huge nugs all over a gram, mostly mediums to large with a couple smalls. Nice consistency in dab form unfortunately the yield was just under 20% but still decent for what it is!

u/Successful-Act-1727 — 9 days ago

Comatose 28g ---> 7.5g Rosin

1964 Comatose flower rosin might genuinely be one of the best presses i've done so far. Started with a full ounce at 28.19g and dumped out some gold. First press alone gave me 6.24g back, then i ran the chips again and ended up at an even 7.5g total rosin. Roughly a 26.6% return off flower which is modest.

And the wild part is the quality didn't fall off after the second press either. Usually you can tell when a batch starts getting stretched thin, darker, flatter, more generic “weed rosin” taste. Not here. This stuff stayed loud as fuck the whole way through. Heavy kush gas immediately, earthy pine, dark sweetness underneath, and that classic Comatose “you are done for the night” effect still fully intact in concentrate form.

The dabs are stupidly heavy. Real behind-the-eyes pressure into full body melt territory. Not jittery or hyper at all, just straight narcotic couchlock. Couple decent pulls and suddenly you're staring at YouTube thumbnails for 40 minutes without clicking anything.

Honestly one of those presses where everything lined up perfectly. Great flower in, great rosin out. Yield was decent, terp retention stayed there, effects stayed there, and the jar just reeks every time it opens. Easily some of my favourite dabs ive had in a long time.

Super Toast Diamond Grape 1g All-In-One Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. This was provided to me as a sample. These are already in the market, although we don’t currently have them on the menu. Expected MSRP is around $36.99. Same honesty either way.

First impression was the smell. Overwhelming grape aroma as soon as the package opened. Very much in that grape drink / Kool-Aid lane rather than natural cannabis terps, but honestly it fits the product well.

The packaging itself is pretty fun. The toast-shaped design is novel without feeling too gimmicky, and I actually liked the included sticker that can be peeled off and placed onto the vape itself. Small detail, but it adds personality to the experience.

First puff had a slight pop, which honestly isn’t unheard of with Super Toast all-in-ones. After that though, airflow was good and the device worked well. USB-C charging is a nice touch and so far I haven’t had any clogging issues.

Flavour is strong and consistent. Full grape candy/Kool-Aid profile that stays noticeable throughout the session. Surprisingly smooth considering how flavour-heavy it is.

Effects hit quickly with that heavier diamond-style onset. Strong high upfront, although it doesn’t linger as long as some other formats. More of a quick heavy punch followed by a fairly manageable comedown.

This feels like a product designed for convenience and public-friendly use more than terp nuance or strain authenticity. Great for outdoor concerts, festivals, sports games, or other situations where you want something discreet, flavourful, and easy to carry around.

Not really my everyday style personally, but it’s well executed for what it’s trying to be and I’ll definitely use it to the end.

About the brand: Super Toast focuses on approachable, flavour-forward cannabis products built around convenience, strong flavour identity, and fun presentation rather than traditional craft-style cannabis experience.

My score: 7.8/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you enjoy strong candy-style flavour profiles and quick convenient highs for social settings, you may rate it even higher than I did.

Qwest: Lazer Jet 7g, not buying qwest anymore.

So I first tried qwest back in November when they came out with Georgia Pie, absolutely loved it. Recommended it on reddit & even my friends. I bought like 7 bags of it back to back then I tried Grande Guava, it was meh for the price. Then I tried the morning sun, absolute garbage. 0.5g short, all popcorn buds, weird smelling. Then I tried Grape cream cake & it was dry af, ending up being dust with 1 spin of grinder. Then I recently tried Lazer Jet, disappointed. Again too dry & dust.

And I am not even being picky, back forty weed packaged in Dec has good moisture in it and it matters a lot to me since I dry vape only. Paying $40+ for these is not worth it.

Pure Sunfarms West Coast Classics 10 x 0.5g Pre-Rolls Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this today. These were provided to me as a sample, but we currently have them on the menu for $26.99 Same honesty either way.

This is a really interesting product concept from Pure Sunfarms. The West Coast Classics pack combines 5 Blue Dream pre-rolls and 5 Pink Kush pre-rolls into one package, giving you two completely different classic strain experiences depending on the mood you’re after.

Before even getting into the smoke itself, the packaging deserves a mention. Pure Sunfarms has done something pretty innovative with the clear window on this pack. They seem to have figured out that whatever is visible behind the window technically counts as being inside the package, which lets them add a little more personality, strain information, and fun to the presentation without stepping outside compliance rules. Honestly, it feels like a meaningful step forward for legal cannabis packaging and helps the product feel a little less sterile.

Starting with the Blue Dream side, the nose was a little more muted than some Blue Dreams I’ve had in the past, without a huge burst of berry or floral notes, but it still had a nice sweet smell that felt familiar and approachable.

Smoke was smooth and easygoing. Slightly sweet with a little creamy character coming through. Hash ring started forming fairly early and the joint burned well the whole way through with no runs or canoeing. Medium to light ash and an overall comfortable smoke.

Effects are exactly why Blue Dream has stayed popular for so long. Nice light daytime high that stays super functional. Great for running errands, going for walks, doing something creative, or just generally staying active while high without feeling slowed down.

Moving over to the Pink Kush side, the nose had more of that sweet cushy earthy smell you’d expect from a classic Pink Kush, although still somewhat muted. Honestly, I think part of that probably comes from having two different terp profiles sitting together in the same pack.

Once lit though, the difference between the two strains becomes really obvious. The Pink Kush side has thicker, cushier smoke with a stronger resin ring and much heavier relaxing effects. Burn was solid overall with no canoeing, although I did need one relight around the middle, which honestly may have just been me not paying enough attention to it.

Effects were classic Pink Kush. Nice calm mood, heavy eyelids, relaxing body feel, but still functional enough to enjoy yourself without completely checking out. Great for campfires, evening walks, or just relaxing after work.

What really makes this product work is how different the two experiences feel from each other. The Blue Dream side is productive and functional while the Pink Kush side is calm and relaxing. I genuinely can’t pick a favourite between the two because they serve completely different purposes, and honestly that’s exactly why this pack works so well.

I already carry both strains separately on the menu, but the duo pack format just makes a ton of sense for regular smokers who want options without needing multiple containers sitting around.

About the brand: Pure Sunfarms operates under Village Farms and has become one of the biggest names in Canadian legal cannabis through consistent large-scale greenhouse production focused on approachable pricing, reliable quality, and classic strain offerings.

Overall score for the West Coast Classics pack: 8.6/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you’re someone who likes having both a productive daytime option and a relaxing evening option ready to go in the same package, you may rate this even higher than I did.

nugz rosin | bubble up

9/10 - This stuff goes pretty hard and has a super dank smell to it. It definitely got me ripped. I’m just getting into concentrates, and this is maybe the 5th rosin I’ve tried. Out of all of them, this one got me the most high, and the taste is great too. I’ll absolutely buy it again. Bonus points for the packaging being dope ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ

Tribal Neon Sunshine 5 x 0.5g Pre-Rolls Review

Sean from Upstairs Cannabis here. Tried this yesterday. These were provided to me as a sample and are not currently on the menu, but keep an eye out for them. Expected MSRP is around $20.99. Same honesty either way.

First impression was the nose. Limonene and humulene come through right away with a really natural citrus profile instead of anything artificial or candy-like. It smells fresh, bright, and properly terp-forward.

In the smoke, the limonene is very noticeable in the first few pulls before more gas starts showing up on the finish. Nice natural flavour the whole way through. Smooth, creamy smoke with no harshness despite a slightly darker ash.

Burn performance was excellent for most of the joint. Hash ring started forming almost immediately, no runs or canoeing, and it stayed consistent through the majority of the smoke. Near the end it became a little more resin spicy and needed a bit more attention to keep lit, which took a bit away from an otherwise premium smoking experience.

Effects landed in a really nice functional zone. They started building around halfway through the joint with that slight tug on the eyelids, but without getting racy or overly heavy. This feels perfect for people who still want to be active and engaged while high.

Honestly, this feels like a pre-roll that’s trying to move the category forward a bit instead of just chasing THC numbers. The combination of flavour, burn quality, and effects makes it stand out.

I’d absolutely buy these again and smoke the hell out of them while camping in the mountains.

I’ve also got the 1g glass tip version sitting here waiting for me, so I’ll drop a link to that review once I get into it.

About the brand: Tribal is a terp-forward cannabis brand under Cannara Biotech focused on modern genetics, strong flavour translation, and premium smoking experience at a relatively approachable price point. Tribal has built a strong reputation around resin production, flavour carry, and consistency across both flower and extracts.

My score: 8.7/10

Cannabis is personal, so this was my experience. If you like natural citrus-and-gas terp profiles with strong flavour carry and functional hybrid effects, you may rate these even higher than I did.
